Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Core Rulebook (Pocket Edition)

Compact and useful, recommend
My big hardbound version of this is getting somewhat worse for wear and I wasn't sure about these due to text size, let's face it, it's half the size. Needn't have worried, it's great, and doesn't take up half the room on the table when I'm GM'ing. Liked it so much I got the bestiaries after too. Durability? Can't comment as only had it a few weeks, but seems to be fine. Very happy with my purchase.

Great but not without drawbacks
Compact and easy to carry. Though the drawback seems to be the text could prove difficult to read without having the book closer than arms length, even at arms length it tends to blur together due to the minute size.Cover was a little beat and ever so slightly dogeared but that's the drawback of paper back and it's a small price to pay for a more compact and easier to carry volume. The contents of the book itself as always with the "big" RPG game books, is high quality, and is beautifully illustrated with Pathfinders own gritty cartoony style.

Good foundation for players
Definitely more portable than the full size, fairly robust paper copy with all the details needed for players in the game.Won’t take up much space on the table.

Everything's there, but beware the print size.
I would give this book 5 stars for content and clarity, and I like the the playing system very much, but the print is worth at most 2 stars, and more likely only 1. If you're going to make a lot of use of this book, I seriously recommend that you get yourself a LARGE magnifying glass. Or better still, lay out the extra money that you would need to buy the full-sized hard-back copy – to which I strongly suspect I would have given 5 stars. In addition, calling it a "Pocket Edition" is definitely a misnomer, unless you have a pocket which will take a book 16½ cm wide, just over 21 cm high, and almost 3 cm thick, and weighing just under a kilo! A poacher's jacket might do it . . .

Great
Perfect although you will need big pockets 😆

Highly recommended
After managing to get a group of friends intrested into starting a tabletop RPG group. We decided to go with pathfinder. I ordered this book with it being the core rule book to get stuck into. Plenty of information to take onboard. Really looking forward to having our first quest.

I'm not a dude
Despite being able to find most of this information online I thought it'd be wise to have a physical copy on hand. The pages are a good quality, the images are nice and the information is comprehensive. Only frustrating problem is that it constantly refers to players and the DM in the books as male, which given that I've never played in an all male group and of the group I'm in there are two women, one man and one nonbinary person I feel it's hardly reflective. It would have been so much easier to just say "They do X" or "Then the player does X" instead of he this and he that. I don't think I'll buy another one of these books, if I'm going to be so needlessly ignored when i look for information then I can do it online for free.
