Makes great coffee!
I've had this for a month now. I've never had a Cuisinart product I didn't like, but I did not expect to like this one as much as I do, or for it to make such good coffee. I like my coffee between medium and strong. When I first saw the little scooper I was sure I'd be doubling, or at least rounding up the scoops, but nope, the measurement is just fine for me. I actually save coffee with this machine. I use paper filters, personal preference. I read the 3 star or less reviews and don’t agree with most. You do not have to take the water container out to fill it or use 2 hands. It is a bonus that you can, however, if you want. This is a keeper, especially if you want to cut down on how much coffee you drink. It is easily transported for travel, and would make a great gift.

As always a Cuisinart product does not disappoint
The 5 cup size design can be turned sideways for easy water fill, the pot is stainless steel, no drips when pouring, stops brewing "mid pour", nice warming feature, makes an excellent tasting hot cup of coffee

Good coffee maker with a few quirks
After breaking three glass pots on my last coffee maker I gave up and tried this Cuisinart unit with its metal pot. Since I am the only coffee drinker left at home I was able to downsize to the 5-cup unit. It makes a nice hot cup of coffee and keeps it hot in the thermal pot. The unit appears well-made and its reliability should be good. It can be a bit messy though. The top of the pot has a plastic lip which makes for a messy pour no matter how careful you are and leaves a bit of coffee always in the pot. I've taken to pouring it out over my sink. Also, when you open the top lid of the unit and pull out the filter basket there is always a good amount of water than will inevitably wind up needed to be mopped up off the burner plate. I didn't have this problem with my old coffee maker. So, this is a nice coffee maker but costs a lot more than standard 5-cup units and has a few design quirks.

nice little reliable coffee pot
it’s great for your first few cups in the morning. keeps coffee piping hot. i wouldn’t use this for company of ten people as it turns off at thirty minutes and only make five cups. so as for me i like that quick hot cup quick, three cups fills up my 16 ounce yeti and im ready to walk out the door for work, Cuisinart always makes a great cup of coffee. it’s the best little coffee maker i’ve had in years.

Amazing!
I finally found a fantastic coffee maker. It is tiny but mighty. I like the coffee pot being stainless as it will not break. It is NOT a thermal carafe, though, which is fine as I make a 16 oz cup that I put in a Contigo, which keeps it crazy warm. I appreciate the grounds holder because it has a handle so your fingers do not get dirty. The lid for the grounds also fits perfectly under the cabinet. The ease of a removable water reservoir is fabulous. I also dig that it has a matt finish, which keeps it looking clean and has zero fingerprints. Bravo!!!

Where’s the quality control?
Used to be you bought a Cuisinart and you knew you were receiving quality. Now you never know what you'll receive. Now, this may be Amazon - for all I know I received a returned one and they repackaged it as new. But, there was a small part - a spring coil, that fell out right at unpackaging the coffee maker. I placed it back in and went on to use the product even though I was skeptical. However, that coil kept falling out and when I didn't put it back in right (guessing), water went all over my countertop. I packed it back in the box and returned it. I won't order another one. Honestly, I won't be ordering another coffee maker through amazon. This looked to be well made otherwise and I loved the carafe. Easy to move around as it is lightweight. Made decent cup of coffee. I wish it had worked out.

Fantastic
I had a similar cuisine art coffee maker before, it lasted 10 years without any issues. This one, now going into two years, just as great as the first one. I also love the design, it takes minimal space.

good basic pot with minor flaws
Out of the box the whole thing feels cheap and light. However, it does make very good coffee. I havea large 12 cup heavy duty Cusinart but wanted a smaller one just for me. Two things I noticed is thatthe lid (which is not attached) can be hard to put on correctly (it needs to be pushed down) and I need 2 handsto open the lid that houses the coffee filter. I use a paper filter (my preference) and I do use the charcoal tabsrecommended as I believe it makes a difference in the taste. Its the lightest stainless steel I have come acrossso it would be a good pot to take on trips. I wanted a basic coffee pot with no timer or gadgets and the option tojust press one button for brewing. I am happy with the quality of the brew.
