I NEVER write reviews for items but THIS is a complete rip off! I wasn't expecting a mug made with actual gold or anything but the fact that this was literally just a crappy photo printed onto a white mug? The low quality of this is astounding. I really wish I had read reviews or actually gave more thought into researching this. It was supposed to be an anniversary gift. I'm incredibly disappointed and distraught. Do better. Don't waste your money on this pos.

The actual mug has 2 panels of pictures of the gold fused pieces of ceramic on a white mug. I should have realized it was too inexpensive

The birthday party with Kintsugi meaning was interrupted with gasps and giggles because of the mug with the printed picture on it. Whispers of a Walmart and dollar store purchases and grunts stopping full laughs, filled the air as a wrapped up mug with a small picture of a Kintsugi pattern was exposed to the public. All were confused at the picture of Kintsugi instead of actual Kintsugi. A white border of ceramic edging framing the Kintsugi pattern seemed bring out an evil smile and I thought I heard a faint foreign laugh off in the distance. The white frame that surrounded a very flat picture of the "Repaired with Gold" symbol of the Kintsugi meaning, had no sign of broken or mended meaning but gave this ceramic dixie cup its final measure of existence.Sure it was proud to be in our presence and it straightened itself up proudly before its new owners, but didn't have that aura or history represented in the Amazon picture. Instinctively I put a hand on my wife's shoulder telling her it will be ok, there will be other birthdays and other chances to hear the true meaning of Kintsugi as compared to the imposter of ceramic pictures. Quickly, I equipped myself with Christian lessons of how man can be deceived. but I couldn't remember the verses in the Bible where others were trying to buy gifts for their wives. I had to remember it was not the Japanese people that changed the meaning of this moment but a confused, well meaning person that had no idea what the deception of marketing could do to take down the meaning of a birthday.I can’t believe I have to put it this way, but the mug is not as broken as the moment would hope for. kinsugi or mended with Gold still remains a mystery and I have managed to botch yet another birthday relying on the merits and gifts like chocolate and promises I can’t keep to stay in the relationship.. So I thought others should know that all is not well in this little trip to Tokyo. Beware!

This is the biggest rip off, It says its a Kintsugi mug. What it is is a mug with a photo of what a Kintsugi mug would look like. It is one dimensional and clearly a photo that doesn't even go all the way around the mug, STAY AWAY

It looks nothing like the picture. I wish I had read the other reviews. They are accurate. A rip-off as it’s just a scanned picture of some kind on a mug. No texture at all, despite how it looks.

I am waiting for the return mailing label from seller that was to be provided within 5 days of my return request. IT HAS NOT BEEN SENT.I wait. I EXPECT MY REFUND IMMEDIATELY. Very unhappy.
