Bought two of these, tried them out yesterday 😣☹️Do not buy this crap !!!!!!'Neither of them work, internal spring does not have enough torque to set off the blank shell !!!P O S is the best review I can give them !!!To get them to fire, I have to manually pull the pin to its maximum travel and release .I even tried to stretch the spring to give it more torque, didn't help !!!!If I back out the spring assembly to its last thread and stretch the spring it sometimes fires??????Bought new springs, they have much more torque when I pull the pin back to cock device!!! Will try them later with Blanks and report back!!!!

I camp out in places with bears, and this seemed like a good way to scare them off. It doesn't come with the tripwire itself, but any spool of 16-20 gauge wire will work fine. It's currently hard to find blanks, so I just replaced the shot from a standard shell with a wad of cotton.The manufacturing is very nice. Everything fits together smoothly. The materials seem to be high quality. Give it a spritz with some cleaner/lubricant spray every so often to make sure it'll work when needed. You'll also need to have some way to fasten it in place so that it doesn't move when the trip pin is pulled. Its body does have grooves for zipties for this purpose.
