Caol Ila Distillers Edition

If you like the smoked smell and tasted of a great whiskey from the isle of Islay, then you are in for a treat. We have been trying the Caol Ila distillers edition for years and it never disappoints. This last one was a gift for a fellow whisky lover, who also loves the Caol Ila brand. We opened and tried this bottle together and it was yet another great whisky, with expected amazing flavour and aftertaste.

Lo compré de oferta (hacía tiempo que quería probar la Distiller's edition ) y no me ha decepcionado para nada, para empezar es un Islay y las notas de humo, cuero etc las van a tener, pero un poco más suave y con ese toque dulce que le da el haber estado en barril de moscatel.He probado muchos Islay (laphoig, ardbeg , port charlotte..) y este es distinto, si te gustan los Islay y lo coges de oferta, me remito a mi titulo.

Habe ehrlich gesagt mehr erwartet. Dieser Caol Ila ist weich und samtig, süß und nur mit einer angedeuteten Schwere, die durch die hohe Verdünnung sicherlich besonders gering ausfällt. Bei der Farbe habe ich mir mehr vorgestellt, aber da auch wieder: Beschiss durch Zuckerkulör, was mich eigentlich ziemlich stört, da es verfälscht. Er wird als rauchig beschrieben, das kann ich jedoch nicht bestätigen. Rauchnoten sind hier nur angedeutet. Mir fehlt wirklich die Tiefe, er ist für mich ein Alltagswhisky, von dem man gut mal einen Schluck nehmen kann, doch definitiv ist der Preis zu hoch.Hier ist mehr Marketing.
