I have used it for all my loaves for sourdough and it’s so easy to put it in and take it out of the Dutch oven

I bake sourdough boules every week and wanted to stop using disposable parchment paper to lower the bread into a very hot Dutch oven. I have been reusing the parchment paper sheets to get two or even three uses instead of throwing them out after one use, but they become brittle after baking, and once I had the paper rip so that the bread almost fell on the floor (Luckily, my reactions were good enough to catch it on the way down!) I love using silicone mats instead of greasing baking pans and I use them for rolling out cookies and pie crusts. These silicone mats with handles work great for lowering bread into a hot cast iron crock.I was worried that the red print would come off onto the bread, but even though I bake at 450 degrees, there has been no transfer of the print onto the bread surface. I wondered if having the handles flopped over onto the top uncooked bread loaf would prevent browning of the crust, but that hasn't happened. I have moved the handles off the bread when I open the crock to brown the crust, but I think that may be unnecessary.I also like that the set comes with a "snap bracelet" to keep the mats rolled up for storage. I have been using toilet paper tubes to keep my other silicone mats rolled up for storage, and that works fine, but the snap wrap is nicer.

The media could not be loaded.  An amazing product. Before it is hard to get the dough from the board to the oven. Silicone mat is good solution which I got from my friend. I ever tried it on paper but it does not work well. With this Silicone Baking Mat, it is easy to grab and maneuver the dough around, additionally the back of each mat has an inches and cms guide. Its non-stick surface makes it also easier to clean than other stainless pans. Then do not use sharp knives on the surface.I like the xmas theme, red design on clear silicone, and I will surely use it definitely on Dec. These printed circles can guide you making biscuits or macarons in the right size, and. Two slap bands are included to secure rolled up mats for storage.Actually I have started using them when I got them. They have particularly thick quality and heat-resistant in the oven. Nonslip is also necessary for kneading and rolling.

Pros:Easy release from the bottom the the Dutch oven.Prevented overcooking/charring the bottom of the bread.Easier to lift out of the hot Dutch oven than parchment paper which becomes brittle with high temperatures.No issues with 500 degree F oven. Held up well.Cons:Dough sticks to the sides of the Dutch oven despite extra flour.

These do exactly what I need, only issue is one side of one got bent so it lays on the loaf while it’s baking and prevent browning in the one spot, kinda a bummer but can’t beat the price!

Really an asset when baking. They live up to the description of being nonstick. Would recommend this product to everyone.

I bought these to use in my Dutch oven for when I make sourdough bread. Used it for the first time and it worked perfect. The oven was also at 450 and no issues with the mat.
