Jennifer Turberfield’s new book is simply delightful and a must for house lovers. The beautiful sketches really make the book as they are accurate in design and also very artful. The soft watercolors are just lovely. I am tempted to buy an extra book just so I can frame some of the house sketches. As a realtor of 20 years, I must admit, that I knew very little of the information in this book. Needless to say I have learned a lot reading this book. It will be a constant resource for me. What a neat book! I know it says it’s for real estate agents but I believe it can just as well be for new homeowners or people wanting to buy a home. This book simply lays out different styles and designs for various home features without being inundated by online searches. I’m able to figure out what style shutters I like best (I don’t like my current ones) or what faucets I want in the bathrooms. It’s just nice to be able to see everything side by side and understand what you’re looking for when it comes to homes, exterior and interior. I will definitely reference this book whenever I plan to update something in or outside of my home!

Jennifer has created the perfectly sized, perfectly organized reference book on house styles and architecture. The book is well organized and easy to read and puts info at your finger tips when you need it -- all in a nice smaller format. A few years I bought a beautiful book intended for the same purpose, but it was huge, heavy, hard to navigate and really better serves as an office decoration than a useful tool for my work. Even if you just love all things houses, you'll find this book enjoyable. Or if you are a future buyer, it can help you identify the styles and shapes of all the interior and exterior features of your dream home!

This book is excellent for interior designers, real estate, professionals, and architecture professionals. Anyone who loves residential homes styles. Such an easy to read explanation.

With her beautifully illustrated book, she's created the definitive primer for anyone who wants or needs to distinguish between Georgian and Colonial, to identify clerestory or Palladian windows, or to know what a corbel is, without requiring a degree in architecture. Her descriptions are accurate and concise, with just enough detail to make her point clear without belaboring the point. Her book will be required reading for all new agents on our team (and probably the veterans as well). Homeowners and those who love architecture and design will love it as well. I recently purchased a home which we are completely renovating. When I saw this book, I knew it was just what I needed! The book is extremely helpful and shows all the different options for every area of the house from decks, to roofing materials, to landscaping, lighting and tiles etc etc. I have got so many ideas now about what I would like to do and know what to ask for when speaking to builders and suppliers etc. The illustrations are wonderful, I would highly recommend this book!
