How do these compare to Prang colored pencils?

I own Prang colored pencils and I have to say I always liked them. They are good. But there are differences that made me choose to buy these pencils:1. I have never found a Prang set that included 120 pencils. I have looked for larger sets in my local art and craft stores but haven't found a large pack that would make me feel I paid a good price for good value.2. These pencils compare (in my humble opinion) to the regular core pencils from Prang and they outperform Prang with their vivid colors, their ability to remain color well if you color over another color in the paper. 3. I have found that these pencils have a stronger core that breaks less easily. 4. Although I love the thick core Prang pencils for their bright and clear color, these pencils come very close to the same effect and, with some colors, even better. I think the question is what you expect from a box of pencils. I wanted a quantity that makes it possible to draw intricate shades. With 120 colors that's more than possible. If it's a pencil box for kids, a 36 pack of Prangs are probably sufficient. I like Prang pencils but I found that I mostly now reach for Artist's Choice because I feel it expands my creativity. I am not the seller just a customer who really likes these and who has experience with other brand pencils. I hope this helps a little.

How do these compare to prismacolors or faber castell polychromos?

They Don’t! They don’t belong in the same league. I have all three unfortunately.   These are quite nasty to be exact! Prismacolor is the best for wax based, and FC Polychromos are oil based. I used the Artist Choice once that was enough. I don’t like how they perform at all. I have yet to figure out what artist would choose these over a myriad of other pencils, Prismacolor, FC Polychromos, Castle, and Arteza just to name a few who are so much better…

I dont see many brown pencils in the photo.  How many brown pencils are in the set?

There are about 10 brown pencils, ranging from a deep brown to a tan. Hope this helps.

Hello, i would like to ask does artist choice colored pencils have the color blue violet?

There are no color names on the pencils, so there is no pencil labeled blue violet. But there is a very nice range of shades, with about 10-20 pencils covering blues and violets/purple. I am sure at least one could be considered blue violet. They are really nice pencils for the price and they have excellent customer service. I would recommend these pencils. You should be able to find almost any color you'd want. This is the only set over 72 I found, not including the Prismacolor and Faber-Castell that cost about a buck a pencil. Hope this helps.
