The only good thing I can say about this set of chunky circulars in three different sizes is that it's a set of chunky circular needles in three different sizes. IMHO (in my humble opinion), 'You get what you pay for' would apply.OVERALL CRITIQUEThe quality of the so-called “smooth finish” (for all three pairs) is meager at best. Stitches cling in place, having to be forced down the way-too-short shaft. The dull, clunky tip results in frustration when trying to insert the needle into stitches along the opposite shaft. The overall knitting experience is disappointing.THE SPECIFICSUS 19 – MY 19s - the surface of the shaft was uneven in certain spots, @best. Not only was the shaft non-symmetrical, the needles were NOT a solid US19; they were more like 18's, if there were such a size.Essentially, they were larger than US17 but smaller than US19. Yet another example of inconsistency.US 35 – same as overall critique; dull nubs for tips, dull surface...stitches must be forced along the shaft.US 50 – same as overall critique, in addition to the following issues: the tip of one of the needles appears to have been sanded down more aggressively. Viewing it @eye-level, it is obvious that one section favors the flat, downward angle of a slope. Also, after smoothing a fingertip over what looked to be a rough section, I was rewarded w/a tiny splinter. Imagine the damage done to yarn fibers.ALL-IN-ALLIt's my own fault for not having returned this set w/in the 30-day limit. For my punishment, I was forced to buy quality needles in each size; spending a lot more money than initially intended. After my experience, however, I still find it puzzling how this set owns an impressive customer service rating. I understand the concept of "lemons" as it relates to all products, but there are lemons...and then there are LEMONS.

After reading the reviews I purchased the 47" needles. I had a chunky knit project ready to go so as soon as I got them I started using them. I love them. The wooden needles are smooth and allow the yarn to glide over them. The tubing that connects the needles is great. I love that it's not just the small cable but a larger tube which helps to manage the chunky yarn. I saw in one of the reviews bad comments about the "paper" needle keeper that comes with the needles. It is not paper but a coated fabric. Frankly, I like it and I like having somewhere to keep the 3 circular needles I purchased. There is also room to keep extras. I would absolutely buy these again!

Was working with thick yarn and needed to cast on over 130 stitches--the usual 14" needles were just not cutting it. I saw reviews for other circular knitting needles which complained about the cables pulling out from the needles, or the cables twisting, and thought I had to just keep struggling with the 14" needles. Then out of the blue saw an ad for these, so I took a shot at them. I'm not a great knitter, and the large needles and thick yarn are clumsy to me, but I'm happy with the needles so far on a herringbone piece about 8" x 36". No problem with the cables, and the needles are smooth. Came with two other different large size cable needles in a nice wrap-cover, and it seems to be a good value; just being cautious in my rating as I have only been working with them briefly. I think if I'd had to keep working on the 14" needles, I would have given up on the project.

Received today and it used. Seem well made and sturdy. Slight tug to cables and the did not come off. Smooth finish and plastic tubing feels sturdy. The points are are not as sharp compared to thinner needles. The accompanying case is securely stitched in a lightweight fabric , with slight vinyl coating. There are slots available to add other needles. Although the case is a bonus, I doubt it will hold up for an extended period of time , unless care is taken with its handling. After the addition of extra single point needles , I noticed the stiching at the base of the pockets is not fine enough to secure those needles. The edges would need to be reinforced. But I didn't buy the set for the case, but for the potential savings. Based on commercial store prices of around $15+ for an individual pair of size 25mm needles, it's definitely a deal and hope they last. As a knitter for less than 1year, I am excited to add these to my collection without the cost.

I absolutely love these needles! Their design allows the jumbo yarn to easily slide on and off the needles without getting hung up. They arrived yesterday and have cut my knitting time by nearly half! Now I will be able to complete all 6 afghan/throws for my grandchildren by Christmas.

These are advertised as 32" - which is normally the measurement of the cord without the needles - but these 3 circular needles, measuring from tip to tip, do not even reach up to 32". I am disappointed as I wanted these to knit afghans with giant yarn and, while the needle diameters are good for this, the short cord length is going to make it difficult. The price for 3 circular needles is good, but the description should be more accurate.

The first pair I tried on bulky yarn, by another manufacturer, didn't last through more than about 30 rows before the "line" between the two needles broke. These needles held up through the entire blanket project without an issue.

The 3 circular needles arrived quickly with a beautiful travel pouch that has enough pockets to store ALL my circulars! Great for organizing & labeling. One of the wooden needles was cracked so I contacted Mehousa and was able to return just the 1 for a new one. New needle also arrived quickly! Working with Casey @ Mehousa was a joy!! Very quick, courteous customer service ;) Thank you Casey
