Great cost effective tripod
I love this tripod, it's a great alternative to more expensive options. I do wish it had a bit more weight to it as sometimes it feels a little too light almost. It has a bag hook under it which is a nice way to get it on the ground though. The other issue I have with it is the tension in the legs. I almost want them to be a bit tighter and provide a bit more resistance. When setting it down, sometimes you have to pick it up and put it back down a few times in order to make sure the legs go where you want them. The slight pressure of setting it down is enough to start folding the legs in. That is such a minor issue though that I don't even consider it an issue. It's a great tripod to travel with and once set down is sturdy. It does feel a bit cheap in terms of the construction, like how other very budget tripods feel, but it's SmallRig so I trust it more than another budget tripod for sure. SmallRig is a name that I trust with my camera gear.Quick update:I originally didn't think the legs could be tightened but they can. Using the smaller threads on the screw on the top, you can thread that into the sides of the leg locking screws. Once threaded in, you can use the plate the tripod comes with to hold the nut in place. Then tighten with the provided allen key on the left side. Not sure why it's not just another bolt head on the opposite side or any other easier way to tighten it. Just means I have to toss that plate and wrench in my bag in case the legs loosen back up.

Great quality
Everything you'd need from a tripod with a robust built and great quality.I decided to pay a bit more than what other teipods cost and been very happy with the decision

Small, light, excellent for travel
Purchased because we're about to travel about 0.5 planet distance and I needed something less bulky and weighty than my seriously lovely but heavy Vanguard tripod. This tripod seems surprisingly sturdy. It does NOT come with a ball head, but I have a spare - so that might figure in your thinking. The tripod with a fairly standard ball head fits (just) into the carry bag.Extended only 3 sections it is quite stable, holds a Nikon D7100 with a 300mm f2.8 lens comfortably. This is a cheap but effective tripod, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. It is NOT all that convenient - the spikes for the legs need you to unscrew the rubber feet and put them in, more expensive tripods permit you to spin the rubber feet up and reveal a spike. But it's all there and works. The construction of the thing seems to be decent aluminium and assorted engineering plastics. The flip catches are tight, and can be adjusted. I suspect it won't take a lot of abuse, but it is light (1.1kg).

It is a beast - but in a good way
This is an awesome tripod. Very sturdy. Good features and build quality. For me personally - it was overkill for my needs (Seestar Telescope). It is also quite heavy, as it should be, for use with larger/heavier equipment. It honestly was great, but did not meet my specific needs.
