Disappointed
Very disappointed, ordered this item along with others which are all amazing for a VE day celebration at a residential home, so was pleased it came early to give us prep time. However upon opening delivery box it was clear that this item had been opened before and the netting that holds wig tidy had been shoved to one side. Upon removing item it does not match the image but I believe this is due to it being a return, the label had been removed but the plastic tag left, the front of the wig has lost its curl and shape and the bodybof the wig is matted. I don't have time to return and exchange so I am having to restyle it in the hopes it will pass. I don't believe the product or its production is at fault but it does strongly suggest that this is a returned item that may not have been inspected prior to it being returned to stock. Everything else received was excellent.

Take it out of the box in advance to give it time to settle. Works a treat with a pill box hat.
I'm no hairdresser - hence the wig - and found it a bit wild when first out of the box, but bought a cheap pill box hat to fix above the curls to tame it a bit. Can't really brush it or use heated instruments in case it goes frizzy as not natural hair. However, after a couple of try-ons it seemed to settle beautifully on its own. I didn't put it back in the box, but kept it draped over a bottle until the day of the show. Spent time with a friend pinning it on well as had to dance in it and even slept in it to keep it for the final performance the following day. Hat worked a treat too. At the end of the day, I was really pleased with it.

"At least it didn't look like road kill" ;-)
Actually not too bad a wig, although the curls on top needed tweaking, as I looked a bit of a rockabilly, my friend said at least it didn't look like road kill, unlike most wigs you buy online ;-) heheheLuckily I'm a hairstylist so my friend there dressed it out a bit, and swept the sides up a bit more with some pins.It was curlier than pictured but we brushed it through with a tangle teaser brush and it was transformed.Several people thought it was real, which is a sign of a good wig, I have to say I felt very much in character in this.I think it was great value for money overall.Took some pics so you can see the dream, verses the reality ;-) oh dear but it sure looked the part x

Small and front curls poor
A bit small, but my head size is large! Curls at front no where near as good as the picture .

DId the job well and held its style.
This is a good quality wig for the money. I needed a wig for a production of 'Allo Allo' and this was a good wig for the job. You do have to style it a bit when it comes out of the box however I find that is normal for fancy dress wigs. I was surprised that it did manage not to tangle and looked fantastic after two dress rehearsals, three performances and going in and out of a bag every night for a week. The colour is auburn red, to get that realistic look I recommend pinning the wig at the top of the ears and at the peak of your hair line. Lots of people watching the show thought that it was my real hair even when I went out to talk to the audience at the end. Overall a good wig that fit the purpose well.

A real 1940's feel to it.
You felt like running your fingers through it, but had to comb it first. With the right outfit it made you feel like you were there in the 1940's.
