Q: What is the actual tea bag made of? Would like to compost it but the bag feels/tears like plastic.

I didn’t find the answer on the package but yea it does feel like some plastic materials. I used to make compost in my yard but didn’t add any tea bags since they are man-made, not natural.

You’re right. It doesn’t say it on the bag anywhere so I don’t know. The flavor has a delicate matcha flavor. It’s not very strong.

Q: Does this tea contain caffeine?

Yes, green tea contains caffeine---how much will really depend upon how long you let it brew and how hot the water is (cooler is better for less caffeine); however, because green tea has L-theanine which binds to caffeine, it produces a calming effect rather than jitters like coffee does.
