Award Winning Hape Totally Amazing Under The Sea Blocks

I purchased a double set of Hape blocks for my two eldest granddaughters. The girls are very careful with their toys and have enjoyed the original sets from eight years ago. Hape blocks are durable, colorful, intriguing to play with nearly eight years later. I just ordered additional sets for the younger grandchildren to add to the original sets. The themes are varied enough to maintain imaginative play. The design of the blocks are so well thought out and stimulating that my granddaughters and grandson will find be sure to build lovely memories from these blocks. These are definitely a legacy toy to pass down to the next generation.

Wow -- what a hit -- even with the older kids who are four, six, and seven!!The very colorful and bright blocks are very sturdy and eye-catching for the little ones. They will help with their motor skills, color definition, and coordination. And -- they will have loads of fun building all different types of fun things. There are so many different creatures included in this block set -- stars, hearts, a sea horse, turtle, octopus, and a whale just to name a few. The 46 blocks are non-toxic and made from solid wood.This block set is a great gift idea for any of the little ones in your life. The Hape blocks are beautiful and exceptional quality just as all Hape toys are. The blocks are very interesting because of the unusual shapes. My only issue is the size. While I don't mind the smaller size in general, there are a few that are so small as to be a choking concern for babies and toddlers. I will not feel comfortable letting my daughter use these unsupervised.

Great quality! The colors are beautiful and the paint job is done really nicely. Some of the pieces are hard to tell what they're meant to be without looking at the picture on the box but that just may be my personal opinion.. but I figured if I can't tell what it's supposed to be then I'm sure my 3 yr old son probably won't either(but hey, that leaves room for imagination! Hehe). Anyway.. My son loves these blocks and I love that there's a map on the inside of the box so you can put them away neatly and quickly! (Thanks to the little map!) I loved these so much that I ordered a set for my niece. She seemed to like them a lot too as she asked to open them right away so she could get to playing! I love the underwater theme and the fact that it's so gender neutral.

Very fun set of blocks, different than what we have normally seen out there. My 5 YO daughter loves to build her underwater world and clean up is almost as fun. The box comes with an illustrated picture that sits in the bottom and shows how each piece needs to go in order for everything to fit in the box snug. It's like doing a puzzle and my daughter loves it. Very well made, colors are vibrant just like in the pictures. I would put these up against Melissa and Doug items any day (which I love).

I bought this at a fantastic discount for black Friday. The product was exactly as described, really nicely made wooden blocks made in Germany, bought for my beautiful baby niece as a Christmas gift. They are sized as described, I don't feel like I have to worry about lead paint or any other toxins with this company (unlike something made in China). I think her parents will be happy with this gift.
