Works!
In our home, we have air fresheners in various rooms. All of these produce a strong scent, making it impossible to ignore the presence of an air freshener. However, I recently received a new scent diffuser, which releases a subtle scent. This device can be controlled using a free app that is downloaded to the user's cell phone. Once programmed, the phone is not required for operation unless changes need to be made. This diffuser does not come shipped with any essential oils, so I purchased a variety pack and tried 10 drops of lemongrass oil mixed with 150ml of water. The diffuser is about the size of a thick paperback novel and was placed on the fireplace footing in our living room/dining room, which has an open bar area to the kitchen. It comes with mounting hardware for a wall mount. The total square footage of this area is around 700 sq ft. Using the free app, I set up a single timing event with 15 seconds of diffusing every 160 seconds. The diffuser started working, but I found the motor to be audible, even from a distance of 10 ft. After a few hours, I returned to the room and could not detect the scent. So I moved the diffuser to a smaller room, my office, and retested it with eucalyptus oil. This time, after an hour, I noticed a faint but noticeable scent of eucalyptus. The app is simple and efficient, allowing for precise control of essential oils and customization of the days and times to run. I set it up so that it does not run when I am at work, running only in the mornings and evenings, and runs more frequently on weekends when I am home. I have been using it for a few weeks and can tell that the diffuser is working each time I enter my office. The scent is light and noticeable but not overpowering, more of what I was expecting in the larger room. However, the device may not be effective for covering heavy odors like pet or kitchen smells. And the motor of the diffuser is also quite loud, and I measured around 60 dB at 1 foot, which is equivalent to the sound level of an average air conditioner. Because the duty cycle of the diffuser is 20 seconds out of every minute and a half, the noise is audibly apparent. This may be fine in an area where one does not sleep, but if located near a bed, it may disturb the occupant. Lastly, despite claims of no leaks, I have noticed a small drip trail at the fog outlet, but it does not appear to leave a puddle.Update: After my initial review, the manufacturer contacted me and informed me that I had been using the wrong oil formulation for the diffuser. Instead of using a diluted solution, I should have been using undiluted essential oils. To help me out, the manufacturer sent me a bottle of essential oil to try. The difference in the diffuser's effectiveness was remarkable once I started using the correct formulation. After some experimentation, I was able to reduce the run time of the diffuser and achieve a more pronounced aroma. The diffuser now emits a noticeable fragrance, and the sound is less disturbing since it runs less frequently. The drip I reported earlier has also disappeared.

Loud. Confusing. Cheap materials.
The media could not be loaded. This was just way too complicated for a difuser. I mean, ok. Open it up, I guess pour essential oil into the little bottle, close it up, and turn it on. Seems simple. And they say "the blue light shows that it is working". Well, the noise that comes out of it I guess makes you think maybe it is working? This thing is LOUD. If you are hoping to have a difuser for a peaceful room, forget about this one.The instructions are not clear at all. It gives you all kinds of warnings of what can go wrong and what not to do (I guess that is a legal thing but still made me worried) and tells how to clean it and such, and keep it upright and plug it in... but there is nothing that allows you to control it on the item besides unplugging/plugging it in. They want you to download some app, but when I looked at the app it had zero reviews, and I don't really appreciate products from unknown companies that force you to control your items through an app. Too much can go wrong, you never know if it's a shady company trying to get hold of your data.So. Without the app, you plug it in, it turns on and makes that horrible noise for about 15 seconds and then stops. Then it goes on periodically, once every few minutes, same loud noise. (check out the video to hear the sound it makes). So I assume it WORKS without the app, but when I put the difuser in a different room, and went in later to see if it did smell of the essential oil, it was barely noticeable at all. Even when I went right up to the difuser while it was on. So I don't even know for sure if it is working. The plug itself worries me, it seems like it's made of very cheap plastic. And with all the warnings of power overloading, damage to device, etc - whether they are just generic warnings or not, it just concerns me too much to use this. Plus, they have a QC (quality control) card in there to make it seem like it went through quality control, but instead of the number of the inspector (like these are supposed to show) it just has stamped "QC-PASS". Too generic to seem like a real quality control check.Overall, what completely loses me besides the lack of control outside the app is the noise this thing makes. It's WAY too loud in operation. Any relaxation benefits I might get from the lovely essential oils are completely gone by the stress I feel listening to that racket.

Don't bother.
This machine is no good. If you plug in it turns on but quickly shuts down. App freezes so you can't use the machine since thats only way to control it, is thru the app. Have to unplug to shut down. It is noisy running. It's not cheap by any means. It's smaller then appears, but can't judge if it fill 1500sf since I can't get it to work.
