I just got this and I can't speak to how long it lasts or keeps the food off the floor because I won't be using it for some time because it's too big. I expected it to be a lot smaller than it is. It is probably great for a dog around 15 pounds or so but I have a small breed puppy and he wouldn't be able to reach the food. The bowls are pretty thin but it's the size that is more important to me. (Someone said it came with a travel bowl but I think it's a slow feed bowl. It's hard and the travel bowls I've seen are soft and have no channels.)I have it 4 stars because I like the design and the anti-ant moat.
