The DAGAZ rune represents the letter D. Dagaz translates to day and in the Nordic world night and winters were long and perilous, so day was attributed with happiness, success, new beginnings and prosperity. These beads have been created using Asgard futhark to correspond each bead to a letter from the English language. Asgard studied a number of the futharks to find the best fit for each modern letter. Opposing each rune is a hand carved viking ship that is based on the Bornholm Brooch. These beads have an 8mm hole, and make a great addition to any viking beard. They can also be used in hair and dreadlocks. If you want to see how to put this on a beard you-tube the phrase "How to put beard beads on". This can also be used on dreadlocks. This is a simple tube, it does not open or close - you just thread hair/beard through it and then tie a knot etc to stop it falling out.
