depth inside is 1 7/8". I think the 3" quoted is misleading because it includes the handle. I find this pan is too shallow as it seems to spatter oil/grease much more than my last (deeper) pan. Otherwise it's a great pan. easy to clean, nothing sticks, uniform heat, but just too shallow for my taste.

Q: Where can I find a lid for this pan? Love the pan, but none of my other lids fit it.

I picked up an all-purpose lid - multi-sized (rings indented in the metal for standard sizes) that I keep handy - often not bothering with the lids that came with my skillets/pots It has a closing vent opening too. Purchased at a restaurant supply store.

Looked on bottom nothing about where its made or patented..atleast it DIDN'T say Made In China, but it's a good pan anyway cook's country uses it also..good luck.
