Rv Vent Motor Replacement kit Fan Blade Kit Assembly Only for Fantastic Fan with Screen

This replacement fan is a perfect fit, runs smooth and quiet, and is a nice heavy motor for the 400 series fan-tastic fan. I read the reviews before I bought it, and saw complaints of uneven speed, and poor fit. My observation is this: (1) this is a perfect replacement for the #4000 fan. (2) if you experience erratic speeds, it's your speed resistors touching; take the inner cover off and make sure the resistor coils don't touch each other. (3) This fan will not fit other fan-tastic models. Some just swapped the fan blades over - there's nothing wrong with that solution. You get a nice motor that way. (4) Power test your fan wiring before you buy. Make sure you're getting power to the old motor! In one instance, I was not. Someone had fudged the wires. I fixed that and still put the new motor in, as the original was 23 years old. The fan is about 12 1/8" in diameter. Measure yours first before you buy. There's no reason these should be frequent returns if you've done some homework first; these are good replacements!

Replaced a model 4000R Fantastic Vent with their 6000RBTA upgrade in 2009 to get thermostat, rain sensor, and power lift. Now in 2024 the blades were yellow and brittle and broke apart on the highest speed. Could not replace the blade because the old 6000RBTA used a set screw on the side of the blade hub to hold it to the motor shaft, and the replacement blades use a screw into the end of the shaft, but I had no threaded end on the old motor shaft.This replacement unit was a perfect fit. It dropped in easily, and the holes on the butterfly support bracket lined up exactly, as you can see in the photos (shown before making the wire connections). The motor can is about 1/8" shorter than the original, so there were no clearance problems with the vent lid.After connecting the wiring, it ran perfectly, with no vibration at any of the three speeds. Getting a new screen was a nice bonus. I'm very happy with this purchase and think the price is more than fair. I may buy another to keep as a spare because I can't imagine this will be available in another ten years.

A quick warning. Fan is about 1/2" larger than original fan. I had a BITCH of a time squeezing it past the flange. Once through, it fits the fan slot just fine and is fantastic! It's quiet, powerful, moves a ton of air. MUCH better than those crappy pancake style motors. This is the good, can style motors that they haven't made in about 10 years.

My dometic is a 4000, i believe, and I'm rather certain it was the original fan blade. It's now over 20 years old and the fan blad plastic had become so brittle from the Arizona sun that it easily cracked when working on it. Tried gluing it but bumped it when it was drying and broke it even worse.... Not to mention the screen had broken as well. Therefore this set was a great deal considering the cost of just the screen some are charging.This replacement fit in from the top. The domestic was just slightly to large for the top removal. Therefore it is easier to install and removal, if necessary. One of the screw holes is off just a little but didn't cause much of an issue when used with the screws that came with it.Power usage, from what i can remember of the original, is about the same.It is quieter to run and has no vibration. The original had considerable vibration on high.The only question remaining is, will the motor last as long as the dometic? Well, I kept the old motor just in case :)

Likes: Very Quiet compared to the Dometic Brand Motor..Dislike: well I had to use my old fan blade because the newer blade would not fit in my Fantastic fan box but wow its so nice using my old fan blade cuz it moves more volume of air.. and you get a new fan screen included which cost you more through dometic label..

Ok, great product and works perfectly. My only problem was that I found out that it wasn't the fan motor that was my problem. Before I ordered this I checked to see if there was power coming up to the fan. Yes there was so I figured it was the fan. Upon fans arrival I swapped out the unit and got nothing. Wouldn't work. A bit of playing with the wiring above and snap on comes the fan. My actual problem was in the lid shut off switch that turns off the fan if you close the vent cover. I checked my old fan with direct power from a battery and it worked fine. Unfortunately, I demolished the old fan mounting bracket by doing the swap from inside the RV. (It was raining and at night.) On the positive side of this is that the new fan runs more smoothly and is quieter.(Photo 1) Plus it came with a new mesh screen that is more easily removed for cleaning.(Photo 2). Also this option is much less expensive than a whole unit replacement which would have been 2-3 times more cost. So, check your connections and that darn shut off switch. I hope this helps someone when deciding what to do with a stubborn fan. Also goes without saying, check your fuses.

Ceiling fan in 2003 Itasca Suncruiser stopped working. This replacement fit exactly. Both Wires are tie wrapped to same bracket and needed to move one wire to opposite side bracket. Need to crimp ends onto new wire ends once run through holes in fan housing. Fan is quiet and does not vibrate.

I installed this in a 2010 Aliner with a Fantastic fan. It works great and the inside screen fits, but is a tight fit. It should stay in place once you get it in. And it is white. the original was almond color.The bigger problem was the mounting bracket for the fan. The screw holes did not line up and the curved bracket was slightly smaller than the original. I centered it, drilled new holes and anchored it down with three 1/8 inch diameter pop rivets on each side. WORKS GREAT!

Perfect replacement for my Fantastic Fan 4000R. Fit was perfect. Soldered the wires and used shrink wrap on it. Zip tied the excess down. A bit quieter than my old one and the volume of air moving is great.
