Patience is the key
This product is awesome! It comes with spare parts so no need to order replacements yet. The support is absolutely incredible and they actually listen to their customers for improvements and bug fixes! In order for it to work as good as possible you need to calibrate it then print several random things to get the splice and transition as accurate as possible. As you print more it becomes more accurate. You do not need a specific printer for this either. I am using a home made AM8 with a long bowden tube and setup was easy peasy. I am using a generic E3Dv6 hot end setup and have no issues with color bleed given the right transition length for the colors. Once properly calibrated I can even use some older filaments that are a bit more brittle. There are limits though. Some are just too brittle and will break in the Palette causing the print to fail. Not the fault of the Palette, but mine for not properly storing my filament or buying cheap filament (I buy some pretty cheap stuff too lol).I keep all my scrap filament for my 3D pen, but with the Palette I can now splice it all together for test prints or for support filament if I want.

Absolute trash
Filament constantly getting stuck on brass fittings and jamming the machine up, terrible setup, does not include calibration model. Slicer interface is confusing, NOTHING is user friendly and none of this has been highlighted in any video I watched prior to purchasing.I never even got to print, no way would I trust this machine to run for my 30-40 hour prints I sell.

Tinkering and the right settings
The palette 2s pro is a very cool machine. It took me some time to get it working. If you are the kind of person who likes to tinker with things, this is the machine for you. I spent several days slice tuning for PLA, but eventually got a calibration that seems to be reliable (2 -1 3). I've been using the Palette in junction with a Raspberry pi 4, Octoprint, and my Prusa Mk3. There is one thing you will realize is that this machine does produce a lot of waste material, purge blocks. I haven't yet messed with the infill options or the swipe infill. On the other hand, the random splice option does not produce any waste (Godzilla picture). In the skull picture, the purge block weighs almost double the weight of the actual print. Overall, I cannot complain about the machine's construction. It is very well engineered and built and I applaud Mosaic for bringing multicolor and multi-material printing to pretty much any 3D printer.

GREAT on PLA - Not so much luck with TPU
If you're going into this wanting to only do multi-color PLA prints you'll probably be pretty happy with this and canvas (the online slicer you'll use to slice things with color). The multi-color PLA prints come out quite nice and the times I had failures they were my fault (when you're in canvas and typing in the infill speed as 100 - make sure it's on percent and not mms accidentally - it will lead to lots of failures and it's easy to overlook that you can toggle between percent and mms on the web ui). Make sure to watch some YouTube videos so you know what you're getting into regarding purge block sizes and print times. If you want to do multi-material you'll probably want to look elsewhere. I haven't had much luck with both dual TPU and multi material (after a few weeks of trying).

Five Star Product
Bought this after joining the Palette Facebook User group and seeing everyone’s successful prints. The Palette community has been really helpful in helping me get everything setup properly, have nothing but positive things to say about my Palette and the support around it. I really like multi spool mode which has let me get rid of a bunch of near empty spools I had laying around.

Not working
Bought it to add on to my printer. Splices would do nothing but jam before going into printer. Couldnt get a print to finish to save my life. Wish customer service was more helpful

Frustrating and Dissapointed
I tried... I really tried to like it and use it. It just wasn't worth the $900 for meI couldn't get it to print in any mode other than random otherwise I ended up with a giant molten blob (Ender 5 pro)The canvas painting program leaves a lot to be desired.Filament falls out of the feeder randomly and means you have to babysit it constantly.I reached out to Mosaic in several different ways since I purchased it and have yet to hear back from anyone via email or any other platform I tried to use to contact themJust dissapointed I was so excited to get it and it just feels like so much of a let down.So I am returning it , maybe I'll try again at a later date
