Ameristep Blaze Orange Cap for Hunting Ground Blinds, Durable Lightweight Packable Safety Cap Available in Hub-Style & Spring Steel Specific Sizes

I have an Ameristep blind so I bought the ameristep cap. I setup the blind and when to install the cap and I was like, “where do these hooks go? There are now D-rings or attachment points on the outside of the blind. The only thing I figured out was to unvelcro the tips of the windows and feed the straps inside the windows and the attach to a toggle inside the blind. Maybe it would fit on the roof poles, didn’t try.Why not include instructions with the cap or tie down anchors that could be used for the cap or guy lines on windy days?

Ameristep Hub Cap, Blaze Orange  I ordered this Hub Cap in Hunter Blazed Orange for my husbands hub style ground blind and it fit perfect as I've attached photos of my husbands Ground Blind with and without the Blazed Orange Cap. The product has many Velcro attachments under the hub cap in the center and on all four ends. The bungee straps are made very nice on all four corners. There is no instructions come with this however there's not much to read about once you have the center part set, then go to each corner of the Cap bungees straps lift up the Orange cap where the Velcro is and snap them together which my husband wrapped around the corner dividers of the windows of his blind. Then hooked the straps to the corner. He has the same blind that is is shown in the sellers photo. The Blazing Orange is made out of Nylon which should be weather proof, as far as rain and snow. I'd not leave it out in the sun or on top of your blind for a long period of time as "Sun" will damage any Nylon left in the heat.After he got the Ameristep Hub Cap, Blaze Orange on correctly it looks amazing and approved for by our State of Arkansas to have a hunter orange on a blind that is visible to other hunters. The Hub Cap could have came with some kind of directions therefor I am still giving it 5 stars due to once you have it attached it is made to fit as described. At this time my husband isn't sure if the Hub Cap will with stand high winds as the area we live it we don't have too may high wind. I do recommend using some tie downs around all four areas from point to point. The measurements are as described by the seller.Over all this Blaze Orange Hub Cap is what my husband had expected, please see photos below.I do recommend this product to others looking for a Hub Cap required by Law in most states and for your protection. Fits the Ameristep Doghouse blind perfectly. Holds on tight even during higher wind. The blaze orange fabric does exactly what it's supposed to, keep you highly visible while in your blind. Very pleased with the peace of mind I have while using this item.

Works well. Have used it a few times and had no issues with it. Not crazy about the mesh windows. They are too low to be able to look right out unless you are sitting on the ground. We sit on buckets so the windows are too low.

It fits my Ameristep Caretaker blind and is a perfect compliance with firearms season requirements in the state. I like it better than just throwing a hunting vest on top of the blind and calling it 'good enough'. I feel a lot safer hunting in a rifle county with this one top of my blind. Definitely 360 visibility to other hunters and doesn't bother the game one bit.

This didn't fit perfect on our blind, but our blind is not an Ameristep, but I was able to hook it to our blind. It made the blind very visible. However, being it didn't fit tight on the roof of a different brand it was loose and caught a lot of wind, (I don't know how tightly this sits on top of an Ameristep.) The flopping on the blind seemed to be noisy. The real issue was the material it was made from, it was very noisy, to begin with, worse in the cold. I would say the material is a light nylon.So with that said if this fits tightly on Ameristep blind it would make it very visible, if not I would not buy it. Do not buy this if you don't have the blind it is meant for.

Extremely visible from far away. This is exactly what I wanted and needed.

I don’t expect to get more than a couple of seasons out of this, if it even last through one: it is very thin and the elastic straps look like they’re going to come apart. I’m not impressed.
