Fits the old 'cube' style Champions perfectly
Seller lists the applicable model #s as a cross-reference; can confirm that this fits my older 'cube' / stacking style Champion 2000w generators perfectly. The o-ring is a little different (the oem is flat plastic; this one is the more traditional round rubber style), but should be easily found / replaceable. And the plug will be sturdier than the OEM plastic one. Tip is sufficiently sized / magnetized to capture filings.The knob appears to be the same diameter as the spark plug removal tool, but if not, a pair of (needlenose) pliers should suffice, if you twisted it in too tight. All in all, a good buy for the price paid.

Using this on my Champion 2000 watt inverter generator. Used it during the break in period and noticed a slight shimmer of very fine metallic flake in the oil after the five hour break in period. I spoke to Champion who said it was normal to see that during break in. I changed the oil and the metallic flakes are no longer present. This magnetic dipstick is most effective as a diagnostic item to make sure there is no excessive metal wear and not really needed to check oil level as proper oil level should be several threads from the top of the fill hole. No dipstick needed for that.

Bad news!! Defective. Don’t use!
Magnetic oil dipstick woks very well. It is the same size as the original and fits perfectly in the oil tank of my Champion 2500 generator. The only thing I have against it is that unless your oil is dirty you cannot see oil level on the dipstick. The color of the oil is the sameas the dipstick plus the shine of the dipstick make reading oil level impossible.UpDate: DO NOT USE THESE!!!I put this dipstick in my new generator. Started it and let it run for one hour. Checking the oil level I discovered that the magnet in the tip of the dipstick had come off in my oil tank. Will have to take to service center and have oil tank remove and cleaned out to make sure the magnet doesn’t get up in the cylinder

Well-Made Threaded Dipstick
This is a quality piece, complete with rubber O-ring, and a magnetized end to clear any tiny metallic particles from the oil. It works perfectly, just check your model before ordering.

The magnet comes out of the stick and is now in my generator. It is brand new and now I am not sure what to do. DO Not buy thisI it will destroy your generator!
