I bought this to replace a traditional style base/ring combo on a Browning BAR 30-06 hunting rifle. I was having problems with my scope shifting under recoil. This mount has proven to be excellent. It is lighter than a steel base/ring set and the one piece construction is very rigid and requires no lapping of the rings. It fits the top of the receiver well and the height is perfect for a 40mm objective scope, no clearance issues at all but still gets the tube as low to the bore as possible. The rings hold the 1'' tube very well and I have had no more shifting problems. The finish is good with no visible blemishes. I am very happy with this product and would make it my first choice for scope mounting on any future projects. I already have one ordered for my 10/22!

This is exactly what I was needing. Fits the gun with a 50mm scope great.

I have used Game Reaper mounts for the past 10 or so rifles I have bought and do not trust any other mounting method. The reason I give it three stars instead of five is due to the way the mounts arrived. The box was crushed with several large white scratches showing on the matte finish. This does not hinder the function of the item but looks pretty bad on a new $1200 browning shorttrac.

The Game Reaper is my go to mounts for any of my rifles and I recommend them to anyone.
