Very nice vest, warm and slim fashionable
I ordered 2 models of heated vests after research and I have decided to keep this one for now. These vests seem to be all chinese made so it was tough to be confident in which brand is good. Ororo had very high user reviews which helped me pick it. It has a couple of reviews on youtube also. Finally, it was one of the few who's battery is U/L tested and we need that safety considering the issues with chinese batteries lately.First, I am 5'11, 170lbs, 40in chest (athletic). I got MEDIUM. It is a slim fit. I like slim fit so this is ok for me. However it is at the limit of the fit especially in chest. Considering my purpose which is for hunting and worn above base layer and under insulating layer, this is ok. if you want this as outer layer, or more loose, go with the Large.Packaging arrived and it is very professional. well designed and nicely packaged. it has a sense of more premium brand. That was excellent.Vest is really a puffer vest. It is well designed, fashionable, simple with few accents and can easily stand on its own as a vest, with or without heat. The material is decent but not premium. There were a few threads sticking out from stitching but not detrimental to vest integrity. Will see how that holds up after the season trial. inside material is soft. pocket liner is soft. the collar zipped up is form fitting to neck and doesn't rub on jaw line which is good and that's what helps the neck heat.Battery is about palm sized and rounded edges, has a rubberized texture and very modern. With all these vests I wish you could interchange with any USB battery but they make them proprietary probably to make more money. The charger is included and everything worked and looked good. Battery has indicator lights to see it charging and power level. As stated, wearing the vest is a slim fit process. Zipper worked fine but i would have appreciated more a YKK zipper. it is a nice warm puffer vest. I turned the power on and it blinks for a while as it warms up into the red zone (HIGH) and then goes to White (MEDIUM). Right away I started to feel the heat in the neck line collar and the back. the hand pocket area took the longest and is probably the weakest zone. As I was indoors with a double thin layer underneath it, this was a lot of heat at HIGH. At Medium it was Warm heat for indoors and at Low it was good heat fro indoors. I went outside in 37F temp and put an insulating layer over it and you can definitely feel the warmth build up at MEDIUM and HIGH. My purpose is Hunting in freezing winter temps so this was a good test. I would wear this over a thin base layer with 2 insulating layers on top. Note this is a slim fit so if you want to wear it as outer layer or have layers underneath, go a size larger than stated. You also may not feel the heat as much. I recommend this vest directly above a base layer for best results. I read some reviews of people complaining of no neck heat or whatever. My model worked perfectly fine and as described on first day. I will be testing this over the next couple of weeks in various elements and will update my review if things change.UPDATE: 11/15/19: after wearing this vest as a Mid layer under a heavy coat for 6 days in a row, I am noticing some fibers now popping out from the material mostly in the chest front area. That’s a poor quality of external material not able to keep fibers controlled. At this rate I would not expect a long durable life especially with washing. I have not washed it yet.UPDATE 10-1-22: I have had this vest now for almost 3 full years. It has held up really well with multiple washes. Yes the outside material has frayed a little as expected with as much use but it is still good and easily wearable externally and looking good. I wear this vest mostly hunting season in freezing and sub-freezing temps. It has performed really well with much needed heat at the best possible time. I would say on full High, the battery is lasting about an hour. Since it goes to Medium on its own after a bit, I keep switching it to high to keep it hot. I wear it above a base layer and have 2 layers on top of it in temps in the teens to 20s and I can last sitting still for about 4-5 hours because as I get cold I turn it on and get heat. The neck line is most welcome. The battery takes a while to charge but has held up well. Overall this has turned out to be a great heated vest and very worth the investment. Will be taking out again this October/November season.

Great fit and warm!
I’ve bought two of these for family members. They both love the vest! They say it fit’s true to size and keeps them plenty warm while outside in the freezing Michigan winters.

Sizing appears over-debated in other reviews.
Lots of reviews discuss the sizing of this product. Even Amazon recommended on size up from my normal ordered size of XL. I am speculating that the size issue debated by other reviewers stems from how much clothing the user intends to wear underneath the vest. I use the vest in southern US winter climate as the outer layer, and to reduce clothing layers while playing tennis. So I could have probably got by with my normal XL size for this vest. But I'm keeping the XXL that I actually ordered. I suppose if you are buying this vest for northern US winter climate and to wear an an outer layer, you'll want to go one size up so you can wear additional layers underneath it.A both negative and positive of this vest, in comparison to other vests I have purchased, is that the vest's battery plug is a round barrel plug, instead of a USB. This bars the use for this vest of typical batteries used for cell phones. However, I have found that most cell phone batteries need to be separately turned on all prior to immediately use by the vest. The supplied battery provided power to the vest without being separately turned on; the supplied battery does not even have an on/off switch, which I like. I ordered a spare battery from the ORORO website. The complaints about battery weight are not valid in my experience. Most 10000 mah cell batteries used in other vests seem to weigh about the same. The complaints in other reviews may stem from a lack of experience with heated vests.

Best winter investment so far.
I love my Ororo heated vest. The vest is comfortable and the battery is compact so it doesn't effect comfort. The fabric is clean and sleek. I have bought 3 so far. That would be my only complaint they seem to only last 1 season. Each fall I have bought a new one. It is still well worth it. I work outside most of the time and will be in and out of people's home while working. The vest makes it easy to go from the cold outdoors to the warm indoors and not get overheated or suddenly cold. The battery last for 4+ hours on high and by turning it off when not needed it will last an entire 10+ hour shift. This product is totally a life saver in the cold 🥶 winter but I just wish it would last more than 1 season.

Definitely a good product
The media could not be loaded. The vast is a lot puffier than I thought it would be, I definitely noticed it was thicker once I put something over it like a hoodie, other than that it's awesome, I do need a second battery for it the battery life on high heat is definitely not long enough so if you get one definitely recommend a second battery or two if you can afford it at the time, I do feel like the heat coils could be spread out a little bit more but at the same time it works perfectly fine as is, if you're wearing just the vest it'll keep you warm, if you're wearing something over the vest it'll heat you up and then you'll start to sweat because the heat will stay inside whatever you're wearing over the top 😁 I looked at the Milwaukee heated vest before buying this one and I wasn't a big fan of the battery that was on it to power it so and so forth and after wearing this one yeah the battery is kind of bulky and square but I love that it's placed on your side instead of on your back or in your front pocket so definitely enjoy the battery replacement.Highly recommend this product haven't had any issues with it but if it's style isn't for you there are other options, I look forward to the day where I can test more Ororo itemsOh side note, I wore this vest under a hoodie while riding my motorcycle, it kept me fairly warm to the point I wasn't freezing in 34 to 40° weather at 40+mph, so I can verify it is very viable under a coat while on a motorcycle

Great gift
My husband loves it! He works outside all year long so it is so nice in the winter! If you’re going to wear it all day, I recommend buying an extra battery pack. This way you always have one battery charging :)

Great vest but hard to choose the size
I bought this heated vest from Ororo to cope with the severe Canadian winter. That works just fine but I'm not sure if it's worth the price because with that you might be able to buy a pretty good winter parka, especially if you do that when it's on sale. Before buying it I read all the reviews giving more attention to the ones where people would tell how hard it was to select the vest size. I also checked the size table but those measures seemed pretty different from the standard sizes.I used to wear L, but after losing a lot of weight in the past 2 years I moved to M. Checking the size table, the one that seemed more suitable for me was the S. I decided to go with the M because I don't have any S piece of cloth in my wardrobe. When I tried that on I noticed that it was pretty lose and I barely could feel any heat in my body. The only dimension that was close to be good was the length, which as a bit short, but manageable. Then, I contacted their support and explained what was happening and that my only concern about switching to the S size was that the length of that size was even shorter than the M.Support was polite but actually didn't help me with any new information, so I decided to return the product. My plan was to buy the S size and see if that goes better, but then I noticed that that specific size is $10 more expensive and it's not supported by Amazon Prime ($19.99 shipping cost).I immediately gave up...

High price but still much cheaper than eWool
I did a bit of research on heated vests and was planning to get the cheaper brands on the $60 to $80 range but the reviews for those were hit and miss. I looked at eWool heated jackets but they start at $500 and are mainly for outdoor use in extreme winter conditions. My wife's co-worker bought an Ororo heated vest and had mainly positive things to say about it so I figured I would give it a shot since I'm usually cold at work and just cold in general. I have an under-active thyroid and one of the symptoms is cold intolerance. The heating zones are just right to warm up my core and hands in the pockets and the back zone is big enough to cover most of my back. The collar heater is not as hot as the other parts but is just right given that your neck can be very sensitive. I usually have the heat on the blue setting after the 5 minute warm-up period when you first activate the heat. The battery is a bit bulky but I don't really think about it much when I have it zipped up. The trade-off with a lighter battery would be shorter heat time but I think the roughly 8 hours is fine the way it is if I use the heat for most of a workday. I like the fact that it uses the newer USB Type-C connector to charge the battery.Since I've been wearing it at work, people do stare at the power button since it lights up in flashing red when it warms up and in the 3 heat settings of solid red (high heat), white (medium), and blue (low). When you wash the jacket, just follow the instructions and remove the battery and then put it in a mesh laundry bag and use a gentle/delicates wash cycle in cold water. I let mine dry over a period of 3 days in a very warm closet.Update 12-19-2019:For sizing help, I bought a medium and I'm 5'9" and 150lbs and it fits almost perfectly. Almost a year later and I've been using mine a lot now that it's fall/winter. I also use it at the rink while watching my kid skate for an hour at each practice session (twice per week) and I don't need to wear my full winter coat. I do wear a hoodie underneath this vest but mainly to cover my arms. Otherwise, the only thing that gets cold are my toes so now I'm looking at heated shoes!

quality of life upgrade!
If you are living in a winter climate, this vest makes night time dog walks, shovelling and sitting in cold arenas SO much more comfortable! The warming unit in the neck/collar is KEY!! This makes a world of difference to your overall experience. You don't realize how much you tighten your shoulders and neck to brace against the cold until they are warm!! If you have a tight neck/shoulders, make sure you get a product that has a warming unit in the collar.Three heat settings give you some versatility - the high is pretty warm - you won't want more than that. The vest was more attractive looking than expected. You can legit wear this around and it looks like a nice vest. The cut is slim. 6ft, 175lbs, slim build male - ordered a men's medium. FItted - especially through the hips, but this is the fit desired as the intention was to always wear it under another jacket. Would recommend going for a fitted size as you lose some of the benefit of the warmers if you are layering under the vest. But note that it is a very straight fit, so if your hips are wider, it might be tight.HIGHLY recommend this product.Only one complaint - the battery unit that goes in the hip pocket is not small. Given the size of tiny cell phone chargers out there, I was surprised that this power unit had to be this large. - eg., like a wide deck of cards. It also sits right on the curve of your body from side to front - need to wiggle it to lay flat on your front. Does add a little bulk if the next layer you put on top is fitted at all. But you get used to this and work around it - otherwise good value, nice looking and great warmth!Just to note when you are shopping - other products may appear to be significantly cheaper, but you have to buy the power pack on top of that - so you still end up paying a fair amount - just search for a good quality, all included product from the start.

THIS VEST IS AMAZING!!
I originally purchased this vest in a XXL based on consumer reviews. It was too bulky so it would prob let the heat out. The return process was simple! 1st time I ever had to return anything from Amazon. A return label was provided that I just had to print out on my printer. Packed everything back into the box and dropped it off at the post office. Somehow they knew it was in transit and my return was processed before they actually physically received the return. Very impressed with that.I then ordered the XL. It said it was going to be delivered a day after I left town for work. I was a little disappointed with that. Luckily to my surprise it arrived 3 days early! Tried it on and it fits perfectly! I charged the battery fully before trying out the heat and wow does it heat up quick and it gets HOT! The heated collar is amazing! I just wish the heated pocket really heated up the whole pocket. It’s not a deal breaker or anything but would def make this vest absolutely perfect. You will have to have your hand pressed up against your body to get some heat on the palms of your hands. Overall I’m truly happy with this purchase. I will update if there are any problems going forward. If you don’t see anything know this vest is the bomb and go get yourself one! You won’t regret it!For help with sizing I’m 6’4” around 225-230lbs And I got the XL. The pic shows how it fits.

Not a bad system but......
The system is good it keeps me warm on cold nights, I cant fault the system for that, but having said that the system is a closed eco system with a proprietary plug, if it was a USB connection we could all use the countless battery packs we have as backup. But you can't you have to buy their $100 5200mah battery. To me that's crazy it feels like the apple of clothing lol
