Trigano Deluxe Metal Apex Shed 10 x 8

Great shed, but needs better instructions
The first point to make is that when the shed is up it is magnificent, however one needs to review ones complete experience with it, and since that starts with building it, that is where I need to begin..The shed arrives in two boxes that are about 6' by 3' by 6" and one's initial assumption is that the rest will probably show up later. Rest assured, it is all there. Each box can be handled by two people with reasonable ease.I guess people have different experiences with things, and mine didn't follow the same path as the two previous reviewers. One of the previous reviewers said that he read the instructions first. I guess he had a different set of instructions because mine was made up of poor quality line drawings with maybe 50 words.Seriously, if anyone from Triango reads this, PLEASE spend a bit of money on reprinting the manual with a few more detailed images (preferably photographs) and some covering description. It took us 6 hours to put the roof together, with quite a lot of head scratching, more than a few profanities, a few holes re-drilled and an awful lot of undoing and redoing.Happily, the rest took only about 3 hours, and was a delight to an old lad who grew up with Meccano as his favourite toy.The kit comes with far more of the main screws and washers than the shed requires, which is great since more than a few get dropped. (NB could do with a few more of the longer screws though). You might want to consider some kind of seal to stop run off water from getting in under the sides. It isn't exactly 10 by 8 if we are honest. 9'2" by 7'2" would be nearer the mark. (The long sides are the front and back by the way). A 6' person can stand inside it, but remember to duck on the way out!The doors are wonderfully wide, giving really good access for anything you are likely want to store in it. The shed is excellent value for money; if the construction manual were better thought out I would have no hesitation about giving it 5 stars, but as it is, it gets 3 stars for construction and 5 stars for the finished article, so I'm giving it 4 stars.

Before you start, get rid of the instruction book!
If you like to play guessing games then this is a must buy item, the instructions were clearly written by somebody who has never built even the simplest of flat pack furniture and after putting together the frame was dismayed to find that there were only one set of doors for the front and none to fit the openings on each side! Also, oddly enough the roof didn't fit right either. After feeding the instructions to the wood shredder and topping up the bedding in the hen house I took the whole lot to pieces and started again and whoopee! Instead of a heap of metal I had a fully functioning shed with a roof that fits and double sliding doors at the front, add a few shelves, a quad bike and a whole host of tools and it looked even better than the one in the picture, so impressed was I that I ordered another, shredded the instructions and began work, this time all went fine until I tried to fix the side panels to the framework, some dozy person had drilled all the pre set holes in the wrong places, but never mind, with shed number 1 safely assembled I knew where to find the drill and I now have dry storage for my hay and shavings. Oh, and did I mention, this flat pack shed came complete with some pretty decent work gloves, however they were far too big for my hands, it would be really helpful if the buyer could specify the size required when purchasing as gloves really are essential when putting the shed together as the panels have exceptionally sharp edges, and finally the screwdriver included in the box, has to be the best bit, a rally decent little tool that surprisingly didn't break or shed slivers of metal when used and actually gained a place in my tool box instead of being relegated to the sub standard emergency use only box! One last mention, the item cannot be assembled entirely by one person (or in this case one woman) as the roof is impossible to lift once assembled, I know, I tried! But with that one exception, one person can assemble the entire shed as long as they have somebody on hand to help lift the roof into place, make sure that the two people are tall enough though or you will struggle to lift it into place. Overall, a spacious and sturdy shed, could do with slightly bigger holes on the door handles though as the padlock I bought was too big to fit through them so I had to buy another!
