I have 3 miniature schnauzers who, despite their advanced ages, are pretty active. They slip and slide on my hardwood floors. I put down wool rugs that just slid everywhere. These are the best non-slip backing I've found. Over a period of about a week, my rugs do need repositioned in the mat, but the mat never moves. I'm going to try cleaning them today, since all of the little dust and dirt particles like to stick to them too. Overall, they perform better than anything else I've tried. I'm even considering one for under my 8x10 that slides under my furniture and leaves lumps to be tripped over

Placed under a long runner at my kitchen sink. Didn't think it would be this comfortable -- am impressed. Is a little thick so I used 2-sided tape on corners of rug to keep it from flipping upward.

These are terrific! I have orientals and over the years I have had many different pads. Theses are the best!! They hold the rugs in place and don’t move.

It is very substantial - and much better than the "mesh" type. Good adhesion on hardwood floor and a slight bit thicker than many others.
