its a nice little series for some light reading

This book was pretty mellow compared to the previous books.The character growth has been pretty well charted but more action would have been better.

Just what I needed just when I needed it. Thanks to the Author for another job well done. Smooth and fluid this just flew by in the reading. Veronica & Stoker's witty conversational moments really are fun to read - as are the Main's observations on most everything. If it wasn't for Stokers's looming presence I might confess a small crush on Miss Speedwell. It's a really clever series so far and I look forward to the next and the next......sadly, for now, the journey is on hold until next time - I will miss those two - I had quite forgotten how very much I liked them.

The author has the gifts of writing superbly, masterful command of historical detail and creating complex layered characters. The integrity of Veronica and Stoker cannot be challenged. And neither can the chemistry between them.

Veronica Speedwell is such a wonderful character - I love her tenacity and yes I loved this new release. Especially her relationship with the flawed and handsome Stoker - could hardly put it down, gobbling up the words, characters and fabulous writing that is Deanna Raybourn - A must read

Another great read about a clever intrepid lady and her companion Stoker. Interesting plot with plenty of humour and a variety of characters.

Thoroughly enjoyable . Will be glad when more are available.
