PETZL, Tikkina®, Frontal Lamp

Good head torch , replace batteries to charge, functional, good size, good value, good light weight. Not rechargeable.

This is the second Petzl head torch I’ve purchased—one was a gift but this was a necessity for repairing a washing machine where two hands are required! The two brightness modes are good—though the first, less bright one is fine for most jobs. It’s comfortable, not too heavy, and feels well made. There are pricier ones out there (with usb charging etc) but at this price the Tikka is a good choice for a head torch.

Excellent quality product which produces a good amount of light at a reasonable cost. The battery life also appears to be very good.Plenty bright enough for night walks in the woods and also surprisingly comfortable for a head torch.

No annoying flashing modes which is a huge relief. So many torches proudly claim 5 flashing patterns or such like but real users want on + off. This has a few different brightnesses which are selectable with the single button but once you have pressed it enough times to get the require button it stays there until the next press turns it off. As far as I am concerned this is ideal.On minimum brightness it is like walking in a full moon which is fine for most purposes and the battery should last for ages. If you turn the brighness up then it is as bright as you could want.Only 4 stars though because it is slightly uncomfortable when worn as the plastic is hard and unpadded but this is being very picky.

For the price really good light. Shame it is not usb charged but works well and changing batteries is not a big issue. Happy with it.

A good head torch with three brightness settings. However, it didn't work out of the box because one of the supplied batteries was corroded.

Cheap and good quality. Expect many years of service (or until I lend it to someone who does not give it back to me)!

Wanted a cheap head torch and have other petzl headlamps. Ended up with a spare core battery so for the price, this was a good shout.3 brightness settings mean it has a lot of options and it's very bright. Pleased I can make it rechargable but of course, if you don't want to by a core battery, it will work on standard batteries.If I was to moan, just not sure on the rubber hinges petzl seem to be undertaking on newer models.For the price paid though, excellent value for money from a quality brand.
