Great comics, and arrived in great condition!

This 2013 DC reprint of the final volume of the Animated Series comic spin-off from the 1992 TV series captures the lines of the animated series, though not quite as gothic, and simpler storylines. By virtue of the simplicity, colouring is highlighted gorgeously, not garishly, knowing what colours will enhance these captivating panels. And the icing on the cake is that there IS NO icing - - no garish gloss reflections on the pages, none of that laminated plasticky feel of glossy pages. Instead, DC reproduce the original look and feel of the comics, and the illusion of depth and vivid coklour is better for it. If DC did this with all comic books, the way Fantagraphics do, I;d buy many more DC Comic books like this one. Like all 4 volumes, superb.

“The Batman Adventures” was a DC Comics comic book series first published in the 1990’s featuring Batman set in the continuity (and style) of “Batman: The Animated Series” (B:TAS) as opposed to the regular DC Universe. This trade paperback collects issues 28-36, as well as the second annual and the holiday special.If you enjoyed B:TAS then I think you’ll like this. The stories are fun, and add to the overall saga. The artwork is simple but effective. While there’s a vague background story-arc, with the events of one issue impacting upon those that follow, these are mainly one-shot adventures.There are 4 trade paperback volumes in this series (this is volume four). I really like the style, and I enjoy anything that adds to the DC Animated Universe. These comics are fun for both adults and children.
