Evans B14STD Super Tough Dry Snare Drum Head, White, 14-inch

Bought this to complement the coated Evans G2s on my Toms and it has given the snare, a warm but crisp sound and reduced the ringing which is often an issue with metal shelled snare drums. Importantly it has allowed me to tighten the drum head fairly well without causing excess resonance and so I can play ghost notes far more easily.Would highly recommend.

At last! A new skin to replace the tattered and bruised old rag. Evans continue to make very good heads and, according to your taste, this one is exactly what I wanted - after hearing the various comparative tones on the Evans website first. As ever, make sure you put it on cleanly and tune it properly (Bflat) and check it fairly often, for the beginning at least, to keep it in tune.

A slightly heavier head to the one I usually use but it does exactly what it says on the tin, super tough and can take a battering without affecting the tone and resonance of the head. This head is going to last a long time!

Very misleading, with the picture I thought I was buying the whole snare Drum, so imagine my surprise when all that turned up was the drum skin.
