Far Cry 3 (Xbox 360)

At first, I had no strong opinions of this game, having no other games of a similar genre to compare it to. Being new to open world roll playing games, I was relatively confused as to how to go about improving my character, but I soon found my feet and was impressed with the detail put into the game. For example, If you want to carry more weapons, you need to kill and skin certain animals in order to craft larger weapon holsters. This system is the same for ammo pouches, syringe kits, loot rucksacks, fuel slings, rocket packs, throw-able packs, munitions pouches and wallets. Generally, to craft equipment you need animal hides and skins, and to craft syringes you need plant leafs, which enable you to have advanced hunting, exploration and medical capabilities.After I began to understand the game I loved it, and found that it included everything I could ever hope for in a game. Despite my initial incompetence, I don't think it would be a difficult game to get your head round if you have played RPG's in the past, as you would be familiar with the common concepts of an RPG. There is a satisfying variety of weapons and vehicles to use, which provided me with plenty of amusement throughout my time spent not doing the story. I also like the fact that you have to earn the ability to fast travel effectively, by liberating outposts, which vary in difficulty, depending on the difficulty settings and your general character strength.Weapons are acquired by activating radio towers, which isn't difficult, but can be time consuming. Signature weapons (very good versions of regular weapons) are unlocked by doing certain things, usually involving collecting, which can also be time consuming, but I was pleased to discover that its worth it. The signature weapons are excellent, without being over-powered enough to make the missions boringly easy. The scenery and graphics are really realistic, however, commonly seen animations like skinning animals aren't particularly impressive or believable, but this isn't that important as it doesn't effect the quality of the game-play.Perhaps my favorite element of far cry 3 is the skill trees. Before buying the game, being indecisive, I was concerned that you could only choose one of shark, heron or spider at the beginning of the game to stick with throughout, but was pleased to discover that you can end up with all the skills from all the skill trees. I like the system of the skill learning, where you have to earn xp through a variety of things, ranging from story missions and liberating outposts, to just killing hostiles. It then takes a certain amount of xp to earn a skill point, which you use to buy skills at a rate of one skill point per skill learned. The skills improve your character, increasing speed, health and abilities. This aspect of the game brought it up from a great to an outstanding for me.I would highly recommend purchasing this product, because it is a great value for money game which always has something left to be done and has provided me with more entertainment and gaming hours than any other game I have ever played.

I knew very little about Far Cry 3 for a long time. I've never played the first or second, and it wasn't until I saw it at number 1 of the amazon games chart I noticed it. Thank God I did because this is in my opinion, is one of the best games of 2012.Far Cry 3 is an open world first-person shooter video game, set on a tropical island found somewhere at the intersection of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. When a member of a group of vacationers are kidnapped by a pirate lord and slave trader (Vass) escapes from the pirates, he must fight for survival, train, and attempt to save his friends before it's too late.Let me start by saying how amazing the plot of the game is, from the minute the game opens you are hooked. The plot is dark, twisted, and gets deeper and deeper as you progress through the game. The characters, (particularly the lead Jason and main antagonist Vass) are brilliant, well developed and acted. The development of Jason is some of the best I've ever seen in a game, going from a scared young man who's never fired a weapon, to a bloodthirsty killer, becoming something he is fighting against. Vass is brilliant, he's twisted, he's sick, he's witty (particularly at the start) and is in my opinion the best villain in gaming this year.The graphics and setting are also fantastic, the island is literally alive. The pirates are always actively hunting you down, searching for you on foot and in vehicles. The same can be said about wildlife, which are fantastic additions to the game. I'll never forget viewing a tiger chasing deer on the other side of a river where a crocodile was to attack me. Brilliant.Vehicles are also a plus, differing from jeeps, to boats, to hand gliders, all of which are fun to use.The game has a number of side missions, all of which are diverse and extremely fun to play. These include killing antagonists for rewards, delivering items in set times, hunting down animals for crafting, reclaiming radio towers to unlock numerous features, infiltrating and taking over pirate bases. All of this on top of a lengthy campaign adds up to hours of game play.The multi-player is also pretty good, particularly the co-op maps. There are the classics such as deathmatch and some interesting original additions. I can't really say much about the multi-player because it doesn't really appeal to me. I came to the game for an incredible story and that is what I got.In conclusion, this game is excellent, and is amongst my top 5 games of 2012. Its well-worth the price, providing and excellent story and open world experience. Comprato il gioco per giocarlo sulla xbox one. Pur essendo usato, è pari al nuovo e funziona perfettamente sulla console. La custodia è in inglese ma il gioco completamente in italiano.

Me esperaba un sandbox normalito, pero me ha sorprendido gratamente.La historia es bastante buena (fuera aparte viajes psicotrópicos) y siempre hay cantidad de cosas que hacer.Buen puñado de horas en modo campaña, para completar la historia y para buscar coleccionables, misiones secundarias, carreras...

Spannende Story, tolle Grafik, es wiederholen sich zwar die Eroberungs-Missionen aber das macht nichts, denn man kann sie auf sehr viele unterschiedliche Arten erobern. Ein Ego Shooter der vom ersten bis zum letzten Moment aufbaut, ob Charakter, Fähigkeiten oder die Geschichte. Ich finde dass bei diesen Spiel viele intelligente Ideen sehr gut umgesetzt wurden ohne, für ein Videospiel, unrealistisch dabei zu werden. Das Spiel kam mir durch die Ego Shooter Perspektive, der riesigen Open world und der grausamen Tierwelt sehr realistisch vor, was ich sehr gut fand. Das Geld war es auf alle Fälle Wert, hab lange kein so gutes Spiel gespielt.

Ottimo prezzo (8 euro in totale), ma la custodia, essendo il gioco usato, è arrivata graffiata ed in condizioni mediocri. Niente da dire, per il disco, che gira alla perfezione. Il gioco è inoltre arrivato completamente in inglese, cosa che farà storcere il naso ad alcuni ed apprezzare il doppiaggio originale ad altri.
