I should have gotten this a long time ago. It would have saved me so much grief and time every time it rained, the water would pool up and the cover would sag and leak into the boat eventually causing the cover to tear and rip. This would have saved my last cover and the cover before it, and gotten a little more life out of them. The stand is made of lightweight metal but the three straps that hold it in place from falling sideways is what really makes this device shine. It is worth every penny.

I have tarped alot of boats and have used many different methods to support/tent the tarp. I recently tried this product on a 20' bay boat. I gotta say it made things alot easier. You get several lengths of threaded pipe that allows you to lengthen/shorten the support. Once you have the right height you place the top rounded piece on and thread the straps through it. I found it easiest to find a place on my trailer to attach the straps in order to make the support sturdy and create a good tenting effect on the tarp to protect the boat from the elements. Once I had all the straps properly placed and tightened up it was just a matter of strapping the tarp down. We have been through one really heavy snow and it seemed to work out great. Time will tell as far as durability.

Hard to keep it upright but may be the cover I use. Either way, I scrapped it.

I am very pleased with this product. It kept my boat tented in high winds and rain. I didnt even have to use the straps provided.

We had to throw away our original styrofoam hot tub cover after it became water logged and extremely heavy. New hot tub covers cost about $500 and we were not anxious to replace it, only to have a new one become water logged as well. So we used this boat cover support stand to hold up a canvas cover, problem solved! In our case we were able to use metal stakes between the patio bricks to hold the straps tight.
