The Workbook has lots of different activities; children from varied age groups are sure to find activities which is age appropriate for them. Very well done!

This book packs a punch. The picture chapter book version of this story is great, and this one is next level! The activities suggested in the lesson plans are such great ways to not only contemplate the themes of the book, but they also create opportunities for the child to bond with their peers as well as their parents.

I bought this as a gift for my 11 year old son. I wanted to use it to teach him how to be grateful and how to learn about making hard choices and taking responsibility. I thought the text would be easy for him to read and he would be able to complete the activities easily after school and during the holidays.Not only did he love the story but his older brother (14) also read it and loved it. To my surprise, they are now completing the activities together. This is the first time this has happened. At first, I wondered why a 14 and 11 year old would both be interested in a children’s workbook, but then when I read the book I discovered that it is so much more than a workbook. It has a complete story and many types of engaging activities. Younger children can complete them in one way and older children can do them too. The fun part is that children get to make their own picture book by coloring the sketches. It’s also a great book for practicing handwriting (and getting them off their electronic devices!). The story is wonderful and really easy to understand while the ideas are complicated even for adults. As an adult I am still figuring out how to make hard choices. I, too, found the book helpful.I have also ordered the picture book version and I am looking forward to seeing how my children will react to that after starting with the workbook version.So much thought was put into making this beautiful workbook and I can’t recommend it enough.

There are so many types of learning activities in this book – coloring, short answers, drawing, basic math, essays, etc. It’s a great resource to occupy your child in a productive way after school, on weekends and during the holidaysAlso, teachers and parents can use the different included lesson plans to teach students either one on one at home or in the classroom.The book is polished and designed to push children’s creativity, critical thinking, and imagination in a fun way

I bought this with the book Raymon and the Summer Snowman and this activity book is really my favorite part of this set! I think the guiding questions not only provide a lot of learning opportunities for young readers but for the adults reading with them as well, and I would absolutely recommend the workbook. I like the way it helps children make the story their own. It provides so many ideas for extending children's learning that my daughter and I can apply to other books as well.
