Very good sound
Quite heavy, solid construction, very good sound. This player looks very good & is well made. It comes with a 128gb micro card installed. It is easy to transfer & edit music on a computer or laptop onto the supplied card by connecting player using the supplied usb cable, or install another card. The sound is very good & clear for all types of music. The volume can go up very loud. There is a headphone socket & a line out socket which can be used to connect a speaker etc.If using line out, remember to go into settings & change to line out settings or you won't hear anything, the same when changing back to headphones. If changing settings when playing music, you have to come out of play mode & go back to menu & then back to song that was playing which is not ideal. Scrolling through songs using the scrolling wheel is quick, or this can be done using the buttons on front of unit, which is more accurate if you only want to go through a couple of songs or settings. Overall, this is a very good music player which plays music very well, it doesn't have any extras such as bluetooth, photo viewing etc, which means using wired headphones, which gives better sound quality.

Use of the player
Rather disappointed that this player has to have the mp3 files processed before they can be entered. If this is not done they do not appear in a playlist together. Preparation is so tedious that I sent the player back. Pity, because it was well built and other features were good.

Fine piece of work
Loads of space for Music, pods and anything else. The screen can show folders, artists, titles and more.

OK but with flaws
First the good:The sound quality is very good and can handle most formats. When you upload double triple or quadruple CD albums they are listed and play as they should, unlike most other mp3 players. Good battery life. The Bad: the screen is virtually unreadable in even low to moderate daylight. The menu system is temperamental and almost impossible to navigate using the large wheel. This wheel is far too loose and sensitive and really just a gimmick. They supply a 128gb mini sd, which is a nice feature... However it seems to be of poor quality and was causing issues: couldn't find uploaded music and every time unit is switched on would go into file update mode, taking 5-7minutes. So, I replaced this with a quality SanDisk 64 ultra U3. It now operates much faster and no longer goes into file update mode or freezes.Overall its OK for the price if you can live with the annoying design and features very dull screenSadly all the negatives happened after the return windowExcellent for use it indoors to play your CD collection through your HIFI or headphone amp using line out. As portable unit it fails completely due to the dull screen.Update: Was contacted by the seller who offered me a full refund. Now that's what I call excellent after sales service. For this reason I have updated it to 5✴️

Easy to use but has its limits
The media could not be loaded. This is a smart and well made throwback to the pre-smartphone days when we loaded our mp3 players up to be able to listen to music on the go. It is well presented and feels solid, with a comforting weight to it that’s doesn’t make it feel cheap. If you own music this is a good alternative to using your phone so the battery can get saved and keep back some of your phone memory by not doubling up on both. It’s an easy drag and drop on your computer if the songs come from a cd or bought on your pc, but I did have to convert ones I bought on iTunes. The memory will vary when it comes to songs if you have lyrics and album covers that pull over as well, but it comes with a memory card included so that’s a really good start. The sound is clear and comes with equaliser options in the settings, although disappointed to see that you only have the option for a wired connection. This makes it good for travel but limits a bit more for exercise. There’s no headphones included too so if you have moved to using bud earphones make sure you do have some wired ones available. There’s also no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, which I was surprised of in this day and age. Appreciate that they maybe are going for a more retro feel for this, but being able to download or link into audiobook or other services would have made this so much better. For the price this is a smart piece of kit with a nice look and feel to it, but I would have expected more connectivity options for both headphones and music/book loading for the price.

Does what it says on the tin!
I wanted a high quality MP3 player. Nothing else! No fancy quirky additional features that I'd never use. Something simple and easy to operate but it had to have one particular feature - a Line Out as it was to be connected to a PA for providing backing tracks. This ticks all the boxes. Looks high quality and feels solid as a brick with a nice clutter free layout. Easy to use.The only slight niggle is, I wish it had the ability to just play just one track at a time in a playlist then stop. Other than that, a piece of gear that serves a very useful purpose and will get used a lot.

Not as good
I bought this player to replace my old 19 year old Cowon D2+. The Cowon still goes strong with battery life of 50 hr but I thought that technology must have evolved through the years and although this is an entry level player with the new highly praised and advertised chip sets it must be better then my old one. Well. Far from it. The sound quality in depth, high or low are way behind. Also the volume is way behind. I tested them with my Marshall monitor iii and also with my AKG K267 Tiesto headphones.

Small, compact
This unit is small and compact. Easy to fit the 128gb storage card.Nice sound, although not a lot better than my phone using a music app and equaliser. The problem, with my one anyway and the reason I have returned it, is that the EQ function appears inaccessible. Whether this is a design fault or a problem on my unit, I don't know, but it's not worth spending nearly £100 not to have an EQ, that I can get for free on my phone.
