Ideal magnetic exercise bike for the home - seat broke after 5 months
UPDATE: I'm not a heavy person, but the seat snapped after 5 months of use....Love this exercise bike. It's so smooth to ride and easy to use.The seat is very comfortable to sit on, the handle bars are the correct distance for me, the peddles are smooth to use and the foot strap keeps your foot secure and safe. It has a a gear twisting cog that you can turn to make it easy to ride or you can add tension to add to a more fitness driven strengthening cardio ride. It's so lovely and quiet too. It has wheels on the front to move the unit when putting it away and it folds away easily and neatly in a corner when finished using it. I find I look forward to using it everyday.I used to work out to fitness DVDs and HiiT workouts, but sadly had to stop as I now have a moment disability, but wanting to keep my fitness up, I bought this bike and so happy I did. It gets your heart pumping safely and is easier on the knees and hips than jogging, doing jumping jacks and burpies. I just wished I'd bought it sooner.I would advise you do a warm up first (there's many to choose from online or on YouTube) and cool down at the end. Also for a good all round weekly workouts, remember to mix and match workouts with using weights etc.I'm in my 50s with a movement disability and so keeping fit and healthy is the best way to keep mobile and a healthy mind as possible, this bike goes towards delivering that.I do need a step stool to climb onto it and off it, due to my disability, so if you're not above 5ft 3in or have a disability you may need one too to be safe, but if you have normal mobility and are average height, this won't be an issue.I highly recommend this exercise bike.

Great exercise bike for starters
I spent ages looking for a bike, being put off by comments. However decided on this It came on the date I had picked in checkout which are only week days please note. All necessary tools come with the bike and I managed to put it together by myself in around an hour ish following the clear instructions in the manual. The resistance of the bike I wouldn't say is what you would get in a spin class or a gym bike but peddle fast enough at the higher settings for long enough you will get a sweat on and feel a burn. For the price I am extremely happy with it. The seat is wide and quite comfy so didn't need an extra padded cover for that. and it is quite compact and doesn't take up much room. which is needed in my small flat. It give you readings on distance, time, Calories and speed in which you are peddling. couldn't tell you the accuracy but it is a ball park and one to improve on each time you work out! Please note that for me the computer part did stop working after a month but I contacted the company directly after fault finding myself and they sent me out a new computer part extremely quickly and for free with no hassle, which again took me 20 mins to replace and now I have a great bike working perfectly. If you want to exercise at home, a beginner or intermediate gym goer or even if you just want to do it for recovery after injury this is great start, especially in the darker, colder days coming up, no excuses to not exercise! - Happy cycling.

Great item but tricky instructions
Good sturdy item, and works well. Pleased with it apart from a packaging issue that meant one metal part was buckled at the end which I managed to fix (the protective cap was shattered so just unlucky?). It was complex to build mostly due to the bolts; there are many types but similar and it can be unclear in the instructions which ones are used where. It would be better if they were all in separate labelled bags, or there was life size template to lay them on top to clarify which is which. Once you have spend a bit of time working out and measuring the bolts to identify them through their length, it was pretty easy to put together but the instructions could be clearer and you need patience. Very pleased with the machine overall. Works well for my size (5ft 5), good range of ways to monitor your progress and very quiet so can watch tv while exercising, with a good range of tensions. If you get it on a price reduction it is a good deal and worth the building effort.

Highly recommended!
An excellent wee exercise bike. I've used it daily (so has my partner), and I like it very much.It turned out to be really excellent value - well made and strong, and easy enough to assemble. The 8 stages of resistance mightn't be enough for very fit athletes, but it's plenty for me! I tend to start at 6, and work up to max 8 by the end of the session. The computer is handy, giving time, distance, heart rate, etc (those are the read-outs I look at - avoid the calorie counter as it will only depress you...). Actually the computer broke down on mine, but MAX Trader immediately offered a replacement, which I received yesterday (haven't fitted it yet but it should resolve the problem). Good service. The only slight issue I have - maybe common to most other exercise bikes - is that it's quite hard to get on and off. I keep a crate upturned beside it as a step, and for me this is necessary. A knee replacement op coming up in September, and I'll be using this as a key part of my physio afterwards (that's where the getting on and off MAY be a slight problem). In short, it's a good product, works well, great value, and very good service from the suppliers.

So far so good...
Was reasonable easy to assemble by 1 person. Feels reasonable sturdy when sitting on it. Obviously feels a little different when cycling compared to professional gym equipment or a real bike - but once you get going and used to it it's fine. delight with it's size on folding up - that can be stored out of the way till it's next use

Reasonable value fixed bike machine
Well made and sturdy machine for the price. Easy to assemble and instruction manual sparse but adequate. I find that the seat is not very comfortable and the choice of adjustment of the frame is very limited. Although the seat height is suitable for me, at 170 cm, this should be OK to adjust for a 200 cm tall individual. My main problem was that my knees sometimes contacted the frame while pedaling and this is uncomfortable, but I do have hip and knee problems. I am surprised that some people have complained that there is not enough resistance to accomodate endurance and strength development but I also note that others find even the lower settings are hard to work with. Go figure. Overall, a limited but good value exercise bike machine.

A great machine. I highly recommend
I have had a few exercise bikes in my lifetime, and this is one of the best. I was uncertain about ordering at first, as I dont usually see foldaway items as being as sturdy, but this bike is. It looks better than the pictures too. The best thing about the bike is it is whisper quiet and extremely smooth. The seat is comfy and the backrest is comfy. I like the addition of the tablet holder as I can use YouTube to watch and follow cycle routes. I am not convinced the calories burnt up section of the monitor is accurate, but if it is, great, I must have burned up 350 calories in half an hour. I highly recommend this item to all. I have to point out however that the arms at the sides of the seat could do with being a little farther apart, if you are bigger than a 18 bum, you may have and issue here...although you could always remove the handlebars I suppose. So to sum up, if you have been dithering...stop...just buy :)

Excellent quality - would recommend
Excellent quality indoor bike. Feels very sturdy and looks good. Folds down well so great if you don’t have much space. It is also extremely quiet do won’t upset neighbours or house mates if that’s an issue!Screen has lots of useful info which you can have on rotate through your ride. However I have found the in-built heart rate monitor not very accurate (first few tests it’s about 10% out) when compared to my Polar HRM. Not a problem as I’ll continue to use my own HRM but important to consider if you are choosing this against others for that added feature. Also easy to put together - I’m no DIY wizz but put together in my own in around 30 mins.
