I just bought this battery and so far so good. I will follow up in a couple of months. I bought the MacBook Pro from Amazon Refurbished and the battery turned out to a dud but I didn't want to lose out on a great MacBook.So I decided to change the battery out myself and save myself about $140 bucks and a couple of days of waiting. Well 2 hours later I successfully change the battery out myself and my "Service Recommended" warning was cleared from my MacBook and its working great thus far.Even though things are working as they should I still went ahead and got the Asurion Protection on BOTH my MacBook Pro itself and the New Battery I purchased and replaced. I want that peace of mind.Extremely happy that this has worked. Again this it just the first day and I hope this is the only review I am going to have to leave.I do suggest you buy the battery. I am running a MacBook Pro 2018, i9 Intel Core Processor, 32GB Memory and 1TB Storage. I couldn't be happier with my investment.UPDATE: December 24, 2023The battery has worked perfectly and flawlessly for the entire year no problems. I am extremely happy with this purchase and investment. I highly recommend the brand and products.Buy with confidence. You won't be disappointed.

If it works as expected, why the 4 stars? The Battery was packed very well, with all the necessary tools. The instructions were in very small print and had a couple of minor errors (easy to spot after studying the instructions and looking at the MacBook mother board). The battery life is good as expected. The 3 stars for "Easy to Install" goes against Apple for their hardware design for the battery installation, but they do fit a lot of capability into a small space. The Apple Engineers had to make design decisions, capability versus easy to replace. Overall works as expected.

The tear down to be able to replace the battery was extensive. I had to pull out almost everything just to have access to the battery.The battery works flawlessly, I’ve had it for about a month, it keeps a charge, fills to the amount it said, and is recognized in the diagnostic tools. Really happy with this!I followed the instructions from ifixit and it worked well. The only trouble I had was with the first speaker connector on the left side.Highly recommend buying tools from hoto, and working in a large enough space to keep track of all these screws.

After replacing the battery, my laptop worked fine for a day. However, it then started to reboot repeatedly, accompanied by a chirping sound. I followed several online suggestions to reset it, but the screen remained black, and the rebooting sound continued in a loop. While attempting to trace down the problem, the connector unfortunately broke, rendering the laptop completely unusable. I don't want to blame the product—it's just how it is.

Worked as expected

I successfully installed it with no prior knowledge and a really vague instruction manual, HOWEVER, if you have the same problem as me where your imac computer battery was dying and wouldn't charge the way it used to (even overnight), just get a new computer or ask a professional. This was a huge waste of my time and money and I can't even return it because the other battery is shot.

Installed it in January and worked great until my laptop suddenly died and now it can’t hold a charge

This kit has everything except adhesive remover. I attempted to remove the old batteries using the plastic cards, but without the remover, one of the old batteries bent and caught fire. I have to buy a new computer now
