These are not crime or thriller stories but stories of normal looking people who've made mistakes in life and learnt a hard lesson

From the everyday dilemmas and problems we face, to issues that we still cannot talk about as freely as we would like to - this collection covers them all. We have forbidden lovers and illicit love, jealousy, anger and rage, imbalance in family life, over ambition and its consequences, and a lot more.Another theme covered was the treatment of people, specifically parents who have grown old. Tell me, how can we be so very unkind to our birth givers? I understand it’s not all flowery, and to be honest, some parents hardly deserve to be called parents - I understand that. But generally speaking, this gross mistreatment of old people, of shoving them into old age homes, is something that really was heartbreaking to read.However…The stories were all accompanied by some kind of a lesson or moral and as such, felt a bit didactic. This aspect kind of put a damper on my enjoyment. The sentence structuring and language was also quite simple - if you are just starting to read, this is going to be an accessible read for you!
