6x9 Aftermarket Front Door Speaker Adapter
I was looking for speaker adapters to fit the front door of a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab without JBL system. There were so many kinds, shapes and sizes available. I saw these adapters, and the description said that they would fit Tacoma. I was kind of skeptical about it, but I still wanted to try it out. Well, they fitted perfectly, the holes were lining up, and the 6x9 aftermarket speakers fitted fine, and looked great. I would highly recommend these adapters if anyone has a Toyota Tacoma with a 6x9 aftermarket speakers.

Works just fine for the 2002 Toyota Camry!
Here's what I had to do to make these work with the 2002 Toyota Camry:It is best to mount the speaker to the adapter prior to installing it on the vehicle door. Use the template provided with your new speakers to drill the four holes in the adapter that will allow you to mount the new speaker to the adapter. I inserted the speaker into the adapter with the template sandwiched between the speaker and the adapter. This ensures proper alignment of all four holes. It is very easy to drill the holes, the adapter is plastic and I was using titanium drill bits.Be sure to use the hardware provided with the new speakers and keep the four factory screws that allow you to mount the adapter to the door frame, the hardware provided with these adapters isn't really needed and likely will not work. This isn't a problem because the new speakers should include all the mounting hardware you could possibly need to mount the speaker to the adapter (be sure to check on this before you get started). After you have the speaker mounted to the bracket, you can easily install it on the door frame using the four factory screws. I ended up drilling a slightly wider hole on the left side of the adapter so that I could use a special wiring harness to get the new speaker wires through the adapter bracket and connect them to the new speaker. The wires could fit behind the bracket, but I definitely did not want to take the chance of crushing the wires and exposing them to the metal door. I'll probably plug the extra hole with silicone if I think it makes any noticeable difference. It may also help to put a rubber ring around the perimeter of the adapter so that no possible vibration can occur. I did not notice any vibration after the initial installation, but this is something I did not consider until after the installation, so you may wish to consider it beforehand.Adapters worked like a charm, I'm so glad I didn't have to go through exchanging 6x9 speakers just to make 6.5s work. I made the 6x9s work! :-)Hope this helps.

Great fit for a 2002 Camry SE
I ordered these after going to a boat-load of flea markets in the Houston area. No-one had these or even heard of them. I was given a quote of $75 to have them fabricated, but that's just way too much. I got them and installed them the same day, and man, it's great having sound in the front of the car. They fit right in, and the depth was perfect....no hitting the speaker when I rolled down my windows. If you got a Toyota, and your front speakers look like these....get'em !!

Fit 2013 Tacoma Double Cab front Doors
These were a perfect fit to my 2013 Tacoma Double cab's front doors.Notes to buyers:1. These do not come with holes pre-drilled. This is most likely because there are so many different options of aftermarket speakers that it just doesn't make sense to drill them.2. They DO NOT come with mounting hardware either for attaching to the car or speaker to the bracket. Keep this in mind as you will need to find screws that fit your speakers and then drill holes to fit to the bracket. The factory mounting screws will fit these brackets, but the holes are just slightly off. But they WILL fit.I installed the Infinity Reference 9633cf 6 x 9-Inch 300-Watt High Performance 3-Way Loudspeaker (Pair) and they sound great with the factory touch screen (non JBL) head unit. Don't forget to add the foam seals that usually come with the speakers as the brackets will rattle against the metal of the door.UPDATE (10/26/2013):I had been using this speaker and bracket combination for about a week and had to temporarily put the factory speakers back in for two reasons:1. There is water inside the door panels that I had not noticed before.2. The vibration coming from the door panel was annoying the p!$$ out of me.As for the water, I did not realize the Tacomas were lacking in water tightness in the doors. Had I known this I would have purchased marine-rated speakers. Since I already have these speakers I will fabricate a plastic cover to try and reduce the drippage on the speakers from the window seals. To try and reduce the vibration coming from the doors I am purchasing some 1/4" foam tape that is designed to go on your doors at home. I figure that looking at the factory speakers they have some cheap foam around them so I will attach the baffle that comes with the Infinities and then attach the adhesive side of the foam strip to the baffles to create a seal/barrier to reduce vibration. We'll see how this works out.I do not blame these brackets for these issues. I may forget to update this posting so give me a week to finish this project and post a comment if you have any questions on how it goes.

Fit the front doors of my 2018 Tacoma
These worked out extremely well for putting in new front door speakers on my 2018 Tacoma Double Cab. The adapter was great as it came without any pre-drilled holes to mount the speakers (only holes were in the tabs for attaching to the door mounting points), and thus allowed me to drill all the holes needed to fit my aftermarket speakers (6x9"Kicker CS). These were purchased after an extremely poor alignment of the Metra brand adapter with my speakers that was supposed to work for Toyota's and 6"x9". Very pleased.
