Good, but expensive.
Excellent to have for rice dishes and steak, but very very expensive.

Hugh quality and fresh saffron
This saffron tasted great when I cooked basmati rice with it and feels pretty fresh. The smell that arose was great too. The tin is filled up well, and it will keep it fresh for a while. The tin is a bit finicky to open up, so heads up. I didn't go super in-depth with testing the saffron, but I did do the water test and it passed well. As mentioned before, the taste and scent are on point as well. This saffron is also priced lower than a lot of other offerings but it seems pretty legit, so I'd definitely recommend trying a tin or two. If you've never tried cooking with saffron before, the pricing on this tin is easy enough to jump-in with.

No country of origin; packaging doesn't promote freshness
As others have mentioned, this tin doesn't include the country or origin. The listing (ad of this writing) does not either.I compared it to some Spanish Coupe from a mainstream mail order spice retailer. It was ALMOST as fragrant and colored almost as well. It did make a lovely pot of basmanti rice, but I admit to using two pinches instead of my usual one.A note on the packaging: the slip tin is very hard to open without deforming or Beijing it, and the saffron is loose inside. It makes for a nice photo, but makes it hard to prevent waste and to subsequently get a good seal to maintain freshness.Saffron of this purported quality at this price point is somewhat suspect. However you may want to give it a try anyway, if only for some visual appeal to your dishes.

Smells and tastes amazing. I'm so happy!
I'm too lazy to use saffron in my cooking, but I do love myself a nice, warm cup of saffron tea. It has been shown to have anti-depressive effects, is anti inflammatory, and can also inhibit tumors, so I drink it often in winter when my mood is low, diet is kind of poor, and I just generally need warm drinks. :)First, this saffron smells AMAZING. It's sweet and hay-like, just as saffron should. There is also a good amount of it in its tin, so when you first open it, it really hits you. Wonderfully. The taste is like a good, bitter, earthy saffron should be.You may know that there are fake saffrons on the market, and this, according to my 'home' tests of checking the shape, scent, taste, and rate at which it imparts color to water, it's the real deal.Oh, and 2g of saffron is about a tablespoon, so you're getting a fair amount that should last a while.

Genuine – Pleasant Aroma – Impressive Quality – Tasty Cup of Tea!
I love a good cup of hot tea with saffron, so I was super excited to try this product and Spyce Way Saffron did not disappoint. Please note, I ground the saffron threads into powder before adding to my cup of hot tea. While I am not an expert, I performed some home tests to confirm its authenticity:1. The saffron had a pungent but very pleasing aroma.2. The threads were trumpet shaped.3. When soaked in warm water for about 15 minutes, the threads floated, and the water slowly turned bright yellow (see pictures).I was impressed by its quality and would recommend giving it a try!* Thank you for the opportunity to review Spyce Way Saffron

The Perfect Addition to my Gourmet Cooking
The packaging of the saffron, which is presented in a sturdy tin canister, is of exceptional quality and serves to ensure the freshness and preservation of the product. Upon opening the canister, one is immediately struck by the visual appeal of the saffron, which boasts a pleasant aroma and a delicious nutty flavor. Furthermore, when used in culinary applications, it has been observed that saffron imparts a rich and vibrant color to dishes such as saffron rice, thereby elevating the overall taste and aesthetic of the meal. Based on my personal experience with this product, I confidently recommend it to others and intend to make additional purchases in larger quantities in the future.

High Quality Saffron In A Nice Tin
This saffron comes in a pretty tin. I'm not sure how fresh it will stay in that tin though, because it doesn't seal well. According to the product details in the product listing, the country of origin is Afghanistan. The threads are nice and long, and just three threads produce a rich, deep yellow liquid. The flavor is on par with other quality saffron I have bought in the past. The price is reasonable for the quality.
