It's just OK
This is a very difficult to win game. House rules need to be implemented to strike a good win/lose ratio.Positives:+ It's true to the movie and it lets you relive the movie by going through the scenes and encounters+ The artwork is appealing to look at+ Rolling dice in a cooperative game where everyone is rooting for you is funNegatives- Not a lot of replay value. While there are many different encounters that will be new from previous games, just the pictures are different but the actual mechanics of what you need to role to succeed on the encounters are repeated a lot.- Failures build on themselves fast and there's no coming back.- When you win, its because you succeeded almost all the time and didn't have to overcome setbacks so it doesn't feel like you limped to the finish line or earned it which can be less than satisfying.

Great story line based game.
Yahtzee?? Really comparing this story line based game to Yahtzee? I don't think so. I'm still learning the in's and out's to this game, but it's nowhere related to Yahtzee. Components are nice as well as the miniatures and the illustrations are top notch, especially at this price point. Has a lot of replayability value, plus it can be played solo, which is why I bought it. I look forward to many years of playing this game when there's nothing else to do lol A++

No Planet of the Apes here. Yahtzee. An overpriced, dull, and uninteresting version, at that.
This game is Yahtzee. I’m not kidding. It has some brilliant concepts tied up in it, but none of them make it past the point of simply describing the game at its most tertiary level. Once you get into gameplay, it’s about rolling various combinations of dice and taking damage for reasons completely unrelated to any choices in gameplay. Does it capture in any way the spirit of the movies? Only in that you feel the same helpless rage at an arbitrary universe that Taylor feels. That any responsible game developer or game company would put this out in the year 2017 is shameful. It is the kind of paper thin tie-in that we used to have to endure back in the 60s, 70s, and even 80s. Games are about opportunities to make interesting choices. This franchise is about people forced to make all sorts of interesting choices. None of that exists in this product. Nor does it reflect a fun gaming experience separate from the tone of the films. Games are so brilliantly designed nowadays. Planet of the Apes fans deserve better. So does anyone sitting down to a game from a responsible, creative designer and company. They can, and have, done better.

Planet od the apes board game
The game feels similar tobother board games and some may get tired of it after a few games but if your a big planet of the apes fan it's a great game to own. The artwork looks spectacular

An okay game...could be better
First off let me say, THe idea of the game is good. But after playing it three times or so, it gets boring. Also some of the challenges are pretty had to follow. For a great Classic movie the game could better thought out here. I don't see them making any expansion products for this game. Good collector's pieces and played once in a while is good. But we got bored pretty fast with it.
