Not too bad for a healthy cereal
This Folk Revival is not too bad for a healthy cereal. It has a mild taste. It is easy to make with hot water, I made it here at work and shared it with my health nut coworker. He liked it. I like that it is high protein and low carb.

When a small tub of Keto cereal tells you to put fruit on top, you best listen
It's not everyday you get to say "You can really taste the acorn", although if I'm being honest with myself, I don't know for certain if I WAS tasting the acorn as I've long neglected embracing the finer side of Squirrel cuisine, and so I'm not really sure what acorn tastes like. What I could taste in this Keto friendly Chai cereal was the chai seasoning, the almond, the hemp, and to a far, far lesser extent the coconut. But what I tasted the most were the chunks of apple that the cereal told me to add in its final step of "Add fruit on top". And frankly, I'm thankful for that, because while I love me some Chai and almond, the apple is what really what made this bowl of cereal okay.To put it simply: it REALLY needs that fruit flavor boost. The chai flavor simply is not strong enough and it needs a natural sweetness to be added to make it feel like you're not just choking down an otherwise barely flavored liquid meal paste. So yeah, when this thing tells you to add fruit, that's not just a "Serving Recommendation" that's a warning; that's the most important step in the preparation of this product. ADD THE FRUIT.***Overall Value***All in all, I added about 3/4 of a honeycrisp apple, a touch of cinnamon, and the required amount of skim milk (to the top fill line on the cup since I used the microwave option) to get this cup to a flavor level where I was okay finishing it. Now, I'm not against a semi-prepped meal product asking me to add my own additional toppings and ingredients to get it to a point where it's edible: I eat lots of oatmeal and meal replacement style things that are enhanced by adding your own fruit/protein/veggie add-ons. But for how much this six-pack is priced at. I'd hope it'd be able to carry a bit more of the flavor burden instead of so badly needing a fruit additive to make it a pleasant dining experience. Even if you're a longtime practitioner of the Keto lifestyle, you deserve a bit more bang for your buck.

Different in a good way!
This is a nice alternative to oatmeal for a hot cereal. These can be made with water or milk, and can be microwaved or made using the "pour-over" method. I made mine with water in the microwave- a little did run over the side but not much. The consistency was pretty thick so I added a splash of water to thin it out just a bit. The cereal itself has a little bit of a spongy texture to it, but it's packed with seeds and almonds to give it a little bit of crunch and chew. I was a fan of the chia flavoring and found this to be really tasty and filling! Lots of protein and fiber and heart healthy fats. The only downside is these are a little expensive, but they are priced comparably to other similar products. These would be ideal for camping or anytime you need an on-the-go breakfast. I think they'd be absolutely delicious with some fresh blueberries on top!

Expensive but a nice profile. Sourcing information would be helpful.
I love hemp hearts and I"m not sure I've had cereal with acorns before. This alone without additions is decent, but a little bit of honey can add quite a bit to it. I tried bananas and wasn't much of a fan, but frozen strawberry slices added in before microwaving (dried would likely be much better) were very helpful.I didn't get any negative reactions even though my stomach isn't quite accustomed to these ingredients.

Packed with protein and fiber
This cereal supplies many essential nutrients such as protein, fiber, iron, and Vitamin D. Combined with hot milk, this is a nutritious breakfast that fills you up yet is low in sugar. For me, however, the flavor and aroma were mildly unpleasant. It also left an aftertaste that I wasn't crazy about. The cereal includes a few whole seeds (hemp?) that were too chewy for me. Overall, this is a good, well-balanced cereal. It just doesn't appeal to my taste and texture preferences.

Nice flavor
Review for: Folk Revival - Chai Almond Hot Cereal. Folk Revival | 20 g of Protein | 3 g Net Carbs | Keto Friendly | PaleI found this hot cereal to be very filling and quite delicious. I mixed mine with water, topped off with just a tad of almond milk, added a few crushed almonds and a bit of cinnamon/sugar from the shaker. It. Made for a delicious and filling breakfast. I actually shared with another family member as I could only eat half of it.The instructions are on the outside of the package so you won’t lose them. I was surprised to fine only one package in my order rather than the expected 6. This is most likely Amazon’s fault but the seller should be aware of this happening. It sounds like my order was not the only one that was shorted and this type of thing does not make for happy customers.

Nice taste, still working on consistency.
Before ordering, I hadn’t noticed that much of the content is in powder form. That doesn’t seem best for a cereal. I’ve tried with soy milk and with oat milk, using just the right amount of liquid and less liquid. Even with less liquid, it’s quite thin. The taste is a different story. It is delicious. The chai flavor is nice for a cereal, and the other ingredients are some that I use every day in my mostly vegan diet. Need to try a couple more flavors to see if the consistency changes. If not, I imagine it would be nice mixed in with my usual oatmeal.

Tastes good. Good part of breakfast.
My son has chosen it for breakfast 3 days in a row, which means he really likes it, as he says he does.Single-serving packaging is convenient, but also environmentally unfriendly, which is kind of unexpected coming from a company that calls itself Folk Revival Heirloom Foods. They don't offer bulk packaging (i.e., multi-serving) on Amazon at this time.
