Reclaimed Barnwood Beam Fireplace Mantel 4x6,6x6,6x8 (Wood, 4x8x72)

We ordered our mantel unfinished as we had a specific color and finish we wanted. The process to contact the company was pretty simple and they were very responsive. When our package arrived it had the wrong item in the box. I contacted the company and they responded within hours. They arraigned the replacement shipment and I had the correct item within a few days. They bent over backwards to get it right and could not have been more professional in how they handled the situation.As far as the product goes, We couldn’t be happier with the quality and uniqueness of our mantel. The old saw cuts add so much character to the wood. Like I said, we did our own finish. I sanded the mantel twice with 180 grit and then once with 220 grit. I then dampened the wood and after it dried I did a finish sanding. We then used a Minwax stain. It turned out great.

This piece is just as described. It's certainly been there and done that. The piece we got had nail holes and pieces of old square nails embedded in it. It was well finished and looks great. I had to give the mounting system category three stars simply because it does not come with anything to mount it. That makes sense as the seller has no clue what the purchaser plans to do with it or where it might be mounted. I Googled a few videos about how to mount a mantlepiece, and I was off to the races. About an hour later, I had a new mantle that was well worth the cash. Buy with confidence, and Google for the rest. ;)

I had a great experience with the seller, he send me a picture before I ordered to make sure I like the color and shipped me just the perfect masterpiece!The size was a little over an inch shorter than described and I was afraid it would not work because I was going to cover a existing natural stone mantel so I sent the seller a message, he was very communicative and professional, offered me an exchange or refund but thankfully it worked and looks amazing. I’m very happy with this purchase!

It is a beautiful mantel but took forever to get here and the tracking was never updated.

This wood beam took a little bit to get to me but was exactly what I thought I wanted. It matched the description exactly and was beautiful but once I held it up to where it was going to be mounted I just didn’t like how big it was. I returned it and was refunded my money. The company I purchased this from had wonderful customer service and that’s saying a lot these days!

The product came packaged well but once you take it out, you see where they didn’t stain it well. It also had holes on front and back as if someone had resent this back to them and they just sent it to me. The piece is ok but I’ve seen better, I wouldn’t recommend wasting money on this.

Was exactly what we were looking for. The color, size, authenticity (heavy but it is solid wood) and look (old wood/rustic barn) is a good contrast and looks great on our tall stacked stone fireplace wall. We didn't recess it into the stone so it was a challenge to put finishing touches around the gap between the mantel and the stone (used plastic wood filler on top and cut and fitted small pieces of leftover stone on the sides) but now it looks like the mantel was custom installed and right at home on the wall. By not recessing it we got the full 8" x 8" mantel protruding out from the wall. I would recommend this mantel to anyone.

This beam was perfect for our fireplace. It’s huge and excellent quality. It’s the perfect rustic touch with tons of character. Only issue was somehow the shipping company lost a 8”x8”x 7’ beam during transit but the seller was great and sent out a new beam for us. Wish I had more places in the house where I could use beams like these.
