Colavita Pappardelle Nest Pasta, 1 Pound (Pack of 10)

I've just ordered these again as part of our fall pantry stocking. We love this pasta for so many reasons. First, they taste great and cook quickly. These are 1/2" wide noodles and made of semolina wheat flour and added vitamins, that is it, simple. The noodles are nested, that is a single portion of noodles are coiled into a "nest" about 2 1/2" in diameter. This makes it very easy to determine how much you need for cooking - although I generally use two nests per person if it is the main dish like stroganoff, and 1 per person if it a side dish (like sour cream and poppy seed noodles instead of potatoes) - makes them easy to store as they can go in almost any container - they don't require something 13" high and that means you don't have to get out the enormous pasta pot if you are just cooking for 1 or 2 as a few nests slide easily into a 3 or 4 quart pot. They are very fresh, arrived with practically all nests intact and will keep quite a while without going "off" as there is no oil in them, although I have to admit, they don't last long around here, as they are a perfect base for so many dishes in all seasons. Another great thing about these is that this is a lot of pasta, 10 (1 lb.) packages. If you are preparing for winter with storms that may prevent shopping or just dark winter nights when you just want to get home, this meet the recommended "5 pound of pasta per person" in the pantry for us with just one box. so much more pasta than many of the other noodle packages. Love these and hope Amazon continues to carry them.

Great buy, great for a variety of good healthy meals, don't over cook as I see from comments they do, these are delicate noodles and need to be cooked as directed. In these insane times, best to get these now with our government taking control over our freedoms, health choices and now our food. Make some family meals, freeze them for the dark winter coming.

I found nothing to dislike about this pasta it is very good when prepared correctly. Cooking time is minimally longer than spaghetti and worth the wait. It comes packaged in "nests" which are portioned bundles contained in a 16oz sealed package. I will definitely purchase this brand again.

I was looking for that homemade taste, and it was not there. They do soak up your sauce which gives them flavor.

Everything with this order was perfect. The Pappardelle Nest Pasta is delicious. Italians really know how to do pasta right. I received my order on time and in perfect condition. In fact, I must say that such great care was taken with this order that not a single noodle was damaged (well, as far as I know). This was probably one of the very best packaging jobs I have ever received through Amazon... I was impressed! Many thanks to all involved with this order.

I scoured the net. Can't beat this price. I make Pappardelle di funghi often and you have to have this type of pasta, and porchini mushrooms, of course. Definitely recommend this brand and deal.

Everything in the description made it sound so natural that I was pretty surprised to open the box and see an enriched wheat pasta. Wish I had known that before I ordered. It may be perfectly fine enriched wheat pasta.

First time order, concern the delicate pasta nests would arrive crumbled, but not the case.Truly bundle of joy with a long shelf life if they last. Good addition to a pasta and sauce basket gift set if you’re into making your own just in time for the holidays.
