Good for targeted relief, but doesn’t stay warm for long
I bought this to help with referred shoulder pain following keyhole surgery, as I wanted something I could drape over my shoulder to apply heat to both the front and back. I’d been using hot water bottles, but they were quite awkward to hold in place. The heat pack looks well-made, with a sturdy fabric that doesn’t stretch and a nice tartan pattern. It feels durable and holds its shape well. I heated it according to the instructions (no more than 80 seconds). It comes out warm, although not quite as hot as I would ideally like. The heat is evenly distributed throughout the pack, which is good, and it sits comfortably over the shoulder without being too heavy or putting pressure on the area. In terms of performance, it stays warm for around 20–30 minutes. This is enough for short bursts of relief, but not as long as I’d hoped. For ongoing discomfort, you do end up needing to reheat it fairly often. There is a lavender scent, but I found the natural “wheat” smell to be more noticeable, especially after repeated use. Personally, this didn’t bother me, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re expecting a stronger lavender fragrance. Overall, this works well for targeted, short-term relief and is much easier to position than a hot water bottle. However, if you’re looking for something that stays warm for longer periods, you may find yourself reheating it more often than you’d like.

Microwavable Wheat Bag Review
The microwavable wheat bag has quickly become one of my favourite comfort items. It’s simple, effective, and perfect for easing aches or just staying warm. After heating it for a couple of minutes, it holds its warmth really well, giving soothing relief for tight muscles, cramps, or general discomfort. The fabric feels soft and comfortable against the skin, and the gentle weight of the wheat adds a calming pressure that helps you relax. I also really like the light, natural scent that comes through when it’s warmed — not overpowering, just cosy. It’s great for winter nights, too. Pop it in the microwave and it stays warm long enough to help you drift off. The size is practical, easy to handle, and fits nicely around the neck, across the stomach, or anywhere you need it. Overall, it’s a simple product that does exactly what it should. Affordable, comforting, and incredibly useful — I’d happily recommend a microwavable wheat bag to anyone looking for natural, reusable heat therapy.

Good value
Purchased the twin pack unscented heat bag. Seems to be well made and we're good value. Have used similar bags for many years and used them frequently but now needed replacement. These are a good replacement and we're cheaper than the original.

Great - stays hot for long - and doesn’t stink!
So so good for the back of my neck. Aches and pains through chemo and this wheat bag helps - but also smells nice - but not too strong. Have had ones before that stink! This does not!

Under filled and not scented
This bag is under filled and is not scented with lavender. The wheat filling falls to bottom of the bag and you’re left with an empty bag at the top. I’ve not smelt anything like lavender being emitted from the bag either when it is room temperature or when it’s been heated in the microwave. I would not buy another one. It retains the heat well enough but does not stay in place easily and has to be held in place.

Does what it says.
Very comfortable. Instructions not enriely clear but easy to work out. Recommended by hospital physio, seems to be giving some relief from stiff neck.

Good quality, fragrance free and cotton mix bag
After having a knee replacement and suffering knee pain, I was advised to use a hot water bottle to warm it. I didn't want a hwb, so I ordered this fragrance free wheat bag. Apart from it being my "saviour" , its of good quality and cotton mix material, so doesn't irritate. It takes 1 min to warm it through in the microwave, so is also convenient

I was surprised how difficult it was to find a natural fiber covered heating pad and have been very happy with these. I got two and am very pleased with their quality and size and the light lavender scent is really pleasant. I originally got a synthetic fiber covered heating bag for my son because it was "cute" and after following the directions and warming it up for 1 minute in the microwave it actually had a hot spot that melted the fabric. This cotton cloth has not had any issues, and the bag warms up and holds heat well.
