Works just as advertised. Used for a hotel room, and it definitely added a felt level of security.

If you are a woman thats terrified of men breaking into your house through ur doors.... this thing works great. Even if they have a key... the door will not open for them.

I saw this on TV and thought it was a great idea. I was surprised at how well it works. I'm sure if a person really wanted to get into a room bad enough, a couple of big kicks or firm shoulder strikes to the door would defeat the portable door lock, but it would make a lot of noise or it might even deter the perp to go elsewhere. Still, every little bit helps when it comes to personal security. I did find I had to use a pair of pliers and bend the prongs outward slightly to fit over the deadbolt and latch though. Keep in mind, there has to be some type of gap between the door and the door frame for this device to be able to fit. Approx 1/8 of an inch minimum. It needs to be able to accommodate the thickness of the metal plate of the portable door lock. I like the fact that this model has rounded corners too. It really should come with TWO pouches and not just ONE though.

I bought this for a hotel and it works great but not only that It made me feel way safer… I recommend this for safety.

I could not use this because it only works on a door that swings toward you I can't give an opinion other than it looks solid and a little hard to install if you're not good with mechanical parts

So I follow the instructions and I’ve watched the videos. The problem isn’t inserting the lock into the door hole or the actual locking of the handle. That works but when I go to open it the lock falls rendering it useless. I’ve tried from both ends of the door and it won’t work my guess it’s defective or this thing really is useless. If I could give this 0 stars I would. From my experience don’t buy it save yourself the hassle.

super cute and worth the money definitely travel sized too and convenient to carry if you travel a lot. it’s a little to get use too with removing it and putting it on but once u get the hang of it it’s definitely easier!!

I bought this from my clients who was traveling out of the country. They absolutely love it and is extremely thankful. She was able to sleep peacefully in her hotel room.
