Sweet & Romantic
The Bed Mate is utterly sweet and romantic including guaranteed warm and fuzzy feelings ♥Maggie and Sam have been best friends for a long time, although it is plain to see that Sam has some very unfriend-like feelings for Maggie. Unfortunately, Maggie has been in a relationship for as long as he has known her. Not wanting to put her in an uncomfortable position, Sam has consoled himself with being her best friend. However, all bets are off when Maggie catches her boring boyfriend cheating on her, leading her to accept Sam's invitation for a mini-vacation in order to clear away the self-doubt that has crept in due to the ending of her long-term relationship.Sam is the ultimate good guy, I completely adored him. My heart hurt for him a little because of his wait for Maggie to see him as more than just her best friend. However, the wait was more than worth it.Both Maggie and Sam are a little cautious about the change in their relationship status not wanting to lose the closest person they have in their lives. Yet, the basis of their relationship is so solid, any additional benefits ;) only add to the depth of the feelings they have for each other. Fast paced, fully developed, sweet and sexy - you'll find it all in The Bed Mate.

A good holiday read
The Roommates series by Kendall Ryan is one of my favorite as the stories are somewhat short, fun and romantic. And The Bed Mate is not an exception. It is practically a friends-to-lovers kind of Christmas story :D So definitely a great read for the holidays ;)Sam and Maggie are two well developed and intriguing characters. Sam is the extreme loving, sinfully hot and fun kind of guy he will do anything for his best friend. Maggie is practically his opposite. She is cautious and careful and to be honest, stuck in a dead end relationship. But as they say, opposites attract. So when things get an unexpected turn, and Maggie ends up sharing a room with Sam in a romantic ski lodge after her not so amicable break-up, the feelings between them finally unfold :)As a whole, this is a sweet and romantic short story. The perfect fit for the holiday season. So if you are looking for something to put you into that romantic festive mood, you should definitely check this one out ;) As for me, I can't wait to see what's next by the lovely Kendall Ryan :)This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

Sexy & Sweet- Friends to Lovers
Told in first person, from dual perspectives, this perfectly paced novella from Kendall Ryan serves as #3.5 of her Room Mate series, but is a great standalone story. A sexy “…hot and sweet…” & oh so funny “…after that brother-sister comment? Alcohol was the best idea I’d had all day.” , friends to lovers – opposites attract story. “We were as different as night and day, but for some reason, we clicked and I felt more comfortable around him than pretty much anyone else.” Maggie is the ever so cautious, practical lover of everything wintertime. While Sam is her opposite – fun loving, adventure seeking great friend. They’ve been friends forever & know each other better than anyone else. It’ obvious to friends to everyone, friends & strangers alike that they should be more. “Like we were fated to be.” The perfect amount of angst, with a sweet ending that won’t disappoint.I loved this little novella, perfect for a “…cozy evening by a crackling fire…”. Couldn’t get enough of the ways these characters paid attention to all the little things & fit so well together, so romantic!

Friends to Lovers
The Bed Mate was a great read, I really enjoyed it. Although this is book 3.5 in the series it's the first I've read and it was a good standalone. Being a Novella it was a short read but it definitely made me feel all warm and fluffy. Kendall Ryan created sexy characters with chemistry that made me want to keep reading. This is the friends to lovers story of Sam and Maggie and it was a beautiful romance.Reviewed for Amo's Book Corner.I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Amo’s Book Corner
I love a little friends to lovers read & when it’s coming from Kendall Ryan even better. The road with Sam & Maggie was short but with enough of a build to bring some angst (which I love) fun & lust.with their friendship going back to their college days they know a lot about each other.... will they be able to give in & ride the friends to lovers happy ever after?Amo

Well. Isn’t this a bite sized morsel of yumminess?Everything you want from a romance novel crammed into a scant 120 pages.Three-dimensional characters? Check.Decent chemistry? Check.Natural language use with good pacing? Check.See what I mean? No messing about – straight into the story. And a well crafted story at that. Loved it.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
