Igloo Pet Carrier Basket House, Extra Large

Very sturdy and looks great. 1yr old kitten uses it to sleep in. I just remove the door which comes off completely and it looks like a beautiful cat bed! The cushion that came with it seems nice quality and its nice and squishy!After reading the reviews I decided to go for the largest one even though my Cat & Kitten are average sizes for Tabbies. I was initially surprised by the size of it but it seems just right now and as I need two I will be buying another in the largest size.The only issue I had with it is that the size I have will not go in the foot well of the car, even the front passenger side with the chair all the way back.So the basket has to go on the seat with seatbelt across and passenger air bag off.Although a solid carrier, the shape makes it far easier to carry than large plastic ones. I also feel its sturdier than plastic carriers. It's not going to crack and as long as you make sure you've properly secured the door it will be fine!The wooden peg is solid and large. I doubt even my escape artist cat will be able to undo this one!Was reluctant to move away from fabric carriers but my oldest tabby who is well versed in the art of escape has unpicked her way or unzipped her way out of all fabric carriers to date! Recieveing this I knew I had made a good choice.Upon opening the package there was a strong smell. Not awful just what you would expect from a wooden basket that's been packed and stored. Was concerned it may put the cats off but it didn't and in minutes the smell started to go then disappeared.Bonus - the size of the basket means it comes in a large box. Both cats were thoroughly excited when it arrived! I don't like excessive packaging but I saw this was clearly necessary once I saw the size of the basket! When the cats eventually get out of the box I'm planning on using it to store some bits that currently have no home!

Beautiful and good quality - although good enough to bring my kittens home- I don't think the gate will be strong enough to hold a male adult in.

Really pleased with this igloo! Big enough for my large elderly cat to snooze in. Very sturdy to use as a pet carrier also. Nice padded cushion inside. Slightly more expensive than I would normally pay, but well worth the money!

This is a beautifully crafted pet carrier. It is sturdy, and comfortable, with the added bonus that it doubles as a lovely bed for my cat. However I wouldn't recommend it for certain cats. I have a 1 year old male Bengal, he's very athletic, big and strong, and unfortunately was able to push the door enough to be able to escape. This happened when I was driving and could have caused some problems, but fortunately my cat was very calm when he got free from the carrier. On another day this could have posed a danger, therefore I wouldn't recommend it for travelling if you have a muscular cat

This basket is ideal as a cat bed, not as a cat carrier. It arrived with a wooden stopper to lock the door one side but not the other.I utilised a wooden peg to lock the other side of the door and took my cat Tiddles to have his booster injection, the vets is approx. a ten minute walk from my house. On route home just about ten minutes of carrying Tiddles in it, the handle broke. This caused me some consternation as I dropped the carrier, however Tiddles was alright. Afraid though he will not go into this basket now, so I have had order another one.

I wanted to buy a case big enough for both my kitties with a door so we could use it for transport too. I am very pleased with this basket, I chose the biggest and it fits both of them very comfortably with room to spare including the huge squishy cushion. They took to it straight away and both of them are currently curled up fast asleep in it. Fingers crossed the hour and a half journey they've got to do won't be too stressful for them now. It seems to be reasonably well made, certainly robust enough for my full size cats and one has already tested her claws on it a few times without causing any damage. For the price I don't think I could have got better - very pleased.

Purchased to use as a pet cave for a petite toy poodle weighing 4.5kg.Item would have been perfect but the wicker used is too thin,and is easily damaged.Had to return and requested a replacement after less than one weeks use ,unfortunately the quality of the replacement carrier was no better therefore we requested a refund as item was not really fit for purpose.Such a shame ,the carrier would have been a perfect safe haven for our dog.Maybe we were unlucky,it could have been a bad batch,would consider buying the carrier again but only if I was able to visit a store where I could inspect the quality prior to purchase.

Good stuff, kittens loved it, carry all and now their sanctuary.

j'ai acheté en animalerie ce panier il y a 3 ans en plus petit,racheter celui ci sur ce site l'an dernier car l'autre devenait trop étroit, mon carlin a 3 ans, et dort dedans tout les jours il l'adore, il est habitué depuis tout petit, dès qu'on part en voiture il va dedans, dès qu'il rentre du jardin et qu'il fait mouillé dehors il va dedans ça évite de salir toute la maison quand il rentre du jardin, j'en suis satisfaite a 100% seul problème... je l'ai acheté l'an passé a 41.35 TVAC il y aura 1 an en mars, il m'aurait fallu un 2e car 2e petit chien est arrivé depuis mais le prix a augmenté de 22.57 euro soit un prix de aucjourd'hui 63.92 pour le même panier les mêmes dimension... dommage...
