Good switches, good value for money, but read the network provisioning to solve instability.
These smart switches are a good value for money for home automation. Much more cost-effective than replacing bulbs with smart bulbs. Each switch controls multiple lights in my implementation. I have installed about 15 of these with 5 more to go all over the house, works well with LED bulbs and standard bulbs. After about 4, here are some lessons I learned:What I liked and learned:1) Easy to install, the screw-based approach to attaching wires is much easier than switches that come with pigtails which have to be connected to existing wires with a wire nut resulting in fewer wires in tight boxes.2) Smaller than other smart switches, so they can fit in busy boxes.3) Toggle style and paddle style availability. I chose the toggle-style ones as it matches my existing switches, and I can keep the existing ones that I don't intend to replace with a smart switch.4) Being 2.4GHz only, it connects to wifi easily and has a longer range. In general, 2.4GHz penetrates better than 5GHz. I used an old router for establishing an IoT network and put all of these devices on a dedicated wifi network.5) Works well with Alexa and Google voice. Not sure about compatibility with apple's home kit.6) I did need to replace the plastic faceplate of my switches with the nylon ones from home depot. The ones that are smooth on the back without mold lines.7) After about 4 or so on the network, I noticed a lot of disconnects and interference with my other devices on the network. I did some analysis and found that these switches send out a UDP broadcast on the subnet every min. It looked like its a discovery packet for the app to identify switch status and health. This creates a lot of noise on the network and especially keeps waking up every device on the subnet. This particularly impacts streaming devices and reduced battery-powered devices like cameras and smart locks. I messaged the company about their design shortcomings and if they can be addressed in upcoming firmware. They said they had passed it on to their engineering team, so who knows if it will get done. In my case, the solution was to drop all these switches and plugs into an IoT subnet behind a router and move the computers and streaming devices to a separate subnet. That created a stable connection, and the switches are fast and responsive. I will end up with a total of 20-22 switches and will update the review after a few weeks of usage. I also turned off the "scan devices in homepage" option in the app settings. I can manually scan for switches and haven't noticed and haven't seen any issues.8) The toggle switches have a blue light that can be set to on/off/on when switch is on/on when switch is off. This is a great feature an its just bright to serve as a night light illuminating the hallways. And for bedrooms, it can be completely turned off which is great.9) For a three way setup, the paper manual in the box misled me. I read it a bit carefully and it pointed me to their website where the switch will need to be added on the load side instead of the line side. I had to re-wire after I learned it.10) The Simplewire of it auto sensing line/load is a great feature.11) 5 year warranty & UL certification.12) Good documentation. What I don't like:1) Price fluctuates wildly so have to keep in mind when to buy these things. They need to have larger packs (more than 4), and it can be cheaper.2) At the price point, it should include a face plate. Competitors include it in their products and its not very expensive in bulk.3) Not published as compatible with apple home kit.4) See above for wifi network setup.5) Long wait times. It has gotten better but is still very long.

This smart switch cannot replace a conventional 3-way switch
I bought this wifi smart switch to replace a conventional 3-way switch. I had to have an electrician pull a neutral wire to my junction box since this device will not work without it. I was the impression that this switch would operate in a similar way as a conventional 3-way switch but after several calls to technical support, I was told that thus switch would not work with my existing wiring. You see, if you want to use this switch in a 3-way circuit, it has to be wired in a specific way.Fortunately, I found a different brand 3-way wifi smart switch that does actually replace a conventional 3-way switch. And like most switches, this one also required a neutral wire in order to work.I will say that I've used other Ultra products like smart plugs with no problem. But in this particular case, their smart switch was not appropriate for my particular situation.

Randomly disconnects.
I bought 6 of these all at the same time. All of them randomly disconnect from WiFi and wont connect again until I manually remove/add them again.

Only for newer electrical code installations
Won't function without a true AC neutral wiring connection which isn't available in millions of older homes.

Countdown timer doesn't work in Ultra Pro App
Install of switch wasn't bad at all and took a few minutes. The problem I have is setting a countdown timer which is offered in the app but doesn't work. I tested the switch by shutting it on and off with the app and being able to schedule a time for the switch to turn on but for the life of me I couldn't get the timer to work. I'm using this switch with an exhaust fan so it will turn off after so many minutes. I was able to figure how to set a timer using Google Assistant but I have to test it yet. I emailed support and heard nothing back so support is very suspect. I should have bought a switch with a dial for the timer.

Horrible Alexa Integration
I primarily got this for the integration with Alexa. I found that experience to be horrid.Initial setup was pretty easy. I did rank “easy to install” as 3 stars because I did have some issues with having enough room for it. Other than that it was a breeze. A quick text to an electrician friend confirmed everything was installed correctly.Set up was a bit of a pain. The outlet required downloading a specific app. Then the app required registration through email or other personal means. After setting up an account, the wifi connection took some time until I realized my phone was not not connected through 2.4GHz. Easy enough fix. Then I tried to integrate it with Alexa. This is where things really went south. The brand is not listed under Alexa’s list of outlet brands. The instructions guide you through setting up through an Alexa skill. When trying to do that in the afternoon it would lead me through the ultrapro login process. Then it would finally come to a browser page saying to update to the latest version of the app. After going through this a couple times I confirmed I had the latest version of the app. There must have been an issue on the ultrapro side because I tried again in the evening while writing this review. While going through the exact same steps, it let me login this time and integrated correctly with Alexa. Because this finally went through, I’m upgrading from 1 star to 3 stars. The difficulty I went through to get it all configured still keeps it from a 4 or 5 star product.I will say the wifi range is good. I had concerns because of the location. I do get a warning that it is weak, but the fact that it reached to it is good.

Works as described.
Pretty cool switch. Connected to wifi easily. Had a hard time scheduling but finally got it to work.

Qualité
j'i commandé 10 Sw intelligences de ce modèle et deux d'entre eux étaient défectueux. Mais je suis quand même satisfait du produit dans l'ensemble.
