A well written book that is far more than a pastiche. It is solidly based on the mythos with clever changes that remind me of how Jeffrey Thomas modified the mythos to fit the world of Punktown . This not to say that Straw and Thomas write in the same style. Straw's stories are more in the "Stolid British inspector deals with the Great Old Ones" mode. Interesting well paced writing that keeps you coming back for more.
