Joy-Con (L) / (R) Red (Japan Import)

Very happy with my purchase! They arrived a day earlier than expected. I desperately needed a new pair of Nintendo Switch joy cons for my son. He absolutely loves The Switch and so do I! Unfortunately, the joy cons that I bought nearly a year ago started having drift analog stick problems and I had to send them to Nintendo for repair. What's a mom to do while her son is upset about not being able to play his favorite video games after a long day of school and home work? I got these online instead of a store because I simply could not find them in this specific color. I do not like the Neon Red version and I was upset not being able to get the Mario Odyssey bundle with the Switch when it came out, but this was the next best thing.I was worried after reading one negative review but I took a chance anyway, and I am sure glad I did! They look fantastic and the box is surprisingly written in English. They slide on easier than the Grey controllers they come with and I have already calibrated and tested them out myself. They work perfectly fine. You may need to update them like I needed to, but that took me only a few seconds. I would definitely recommend these if you need a new pair of controllers and don't mind paying a slightly higher price. I like being able to have a unique pair of joy cons that most may or may not have and it looks great on the Switch! Thanks Amazon & Nintendo!

I am personally not a fan of any of the NEON colored joy-cons, they are too intense on my eyes and make it look cheap. This is the red that launched with the Mario Audessy edition it’s a great colored red and everyone who sees them makes note of how good they look. The deeper Mario red contrasts extremely well with the system and the grips. It also helps that since, in the US market, these were only packaged with the limited Mario audessy Switch, they are surprisingly rare. I am the only person I know who owns this color out of a decent sized pool of families and friends.I was also a big fan that when I connected the new joy-cons to my Switch, it instantly paired them and even recognized that they were the red joy-cons. This makes it easier to distinguish which joy-con you need to use in a given gaming situation.My only recommendation, if these will be the second pair of joy-cons in your system, is to buy the charging grip. It’s great to have two full sized controllers but even better to be able to charge all 4 joy-cons at the same time (one pair connected to the system and one pair on the charging grip).

I’ve had these joy-cons for a while I just haven’t reviewed them because I barely use them. First off, the color looks fantastic! I wish we could have gotten this color in US stores without having to import them. My only problem is that straight out of the box the left joy-con’s thumb-stick started making this really annoying springy noise (kinda like the sound a Minecraft skeleton makes) which I did not like. I would have returned them to get a replacement but sadly I didn’t open them until I had them for a month. This is a great buy if you like the color just keep in mind that there is always a chance you’ll get a defective controller so do a thorough inspection when you get them.

A normal hue of red, even though I would have brought the neon red too. Just decided to get these because they were pretty much the same price buying off Amazon. They were delivered as expected with Prime. I know there is issue with Joy-Con drift going around, but I haven't experienced it. Hopefully I don't have to either. Ive only had a switch for a month or so, which came with the grey Joy-Cons. These have now become my go to controllers for gaming. I put thumb grips on for a little more flare, and I just happen to like the feeling of those over the naked joystick. Overall, a good buy. I would definitely recommend.

Yes, these are the genuine article - imported from Japan, a color you can't get domestically, and while it may be my imagination I do think there's a slightly different feel to them. And that's a good thing.By the color, I mean it's what in my house we call Mario Red(tm). It's darker, not bright, and it's certainly something that invites comment by Switch aficionados. "Where'd you get those joy cons?" "Um, Nihon!"As these are Nintendo-Made (as opposed to licensed third party) they work flawlessly. A perfect set.

Stylish red joy-cons! How can I not give them 5 stars?However, my pair appear to have the weak Bluetooth connectivity issue that plagued older joycon. I'm not taking off any stars since that's on Nintendo, but getting them shipped off is a hassle. For now, I'm rotating between these when playing at my desk or in handheld, and then my grey pair for when I'm sitting on the couch, across the room from my TV.I've had them for a little over a month now, and I've experienced no drift/abnormal battery drain. Came in original packaging, albiet in Japanese.

What's to say? They work exactly as they should, and they're a gorgeous darker red instead of that pink neon red crap they've been giving us in the States. (Don't lie, they're pink. You know they are.) These are Japanese imports (unless you are lucky enough to have gotten them with an Odyssey bundle), and they come with the black wrist straps. They also, so far, seem to be properly painted and coated this time, because I don't have the same problem with fingerprints I did with my greys so far.If you have the money and are looking for a spare set, I highly recommend these over those neon eye abusers.

I’m quite satisfied with the red color of these. I got the regular neon red and blue joy cons when I first picked up my switch. My brother got the gray/black ones. Since I was unsatisfied with the neon red and blue, I got these, and traded my brother a red for a black. Now we are both rocking black and red joy cons and we love it. Would have given 5 stars but they’re pretty expensive.

Sure they are more expensive BUT unless you buy the Mario box set you won't get these. I love how they look and fresh joycons after 2yrs of nearly daily use feels amazing. My pro controller is taking a pause again.
