Just had a new kitchen with quartz counter top so need to be very careful about putting hot items on it. These mats are brilliant. Because they are translucent they don't detract from the design of the worktop. Heat resistance is pretty good I can put hot pans from the hob on them. However I wouldn't use them for something straight out of the oven, need something heavier duty for that. They are also useful for preventing stains on the worktop like tea or red wine. Really easy to rinse off under the tap.All in all very pleased with these mats.
